i'm interested to see what the experts say about this one...the only way george will eat his veggies is if i hand feed them to him...and i stopped doing that since i read on here that they can become dependant on it.

i also read that young beardies don't really have the taste for veggies, and when they get to be a 1 1/2 to 2 years old they begin to acquire the taste for them and veggies become a large part of their diet. george is jsut over a year so i just keep offering and hope he eats them eventually...

All of my dragons hated their veggies when they were younger but I would still put a little in there everyday. Then one by one they just suddenly decided that they love veggies. One day you'll set their bowl in there and they'll come running.....it's the strangest thing. Don't give up hope, it'll happen

Hi. My baby is 4 months old and he now eats his vegees everyday. When I got him home I put them in everyday, he never touched them. I noticed him starting to eat them a few weeks later. When his lights come on in the morning, I wait like 45 minutes to an hour and I put a fresh bowl in. When he's warmed up, he will go for them. When I see he is eating them, I will get his crix ready (he has crickets in a separate container). He freaks out when he sees me getting the crickets ready!!! I just leave the leftover vegees in his tank and he snacks on them the rest of the day. I do keep them misted though so they don't dry out. I know that not all babies will eat vegees, but it worked for me and I feel so much better as I know that he is getting water too, because they are still damp from being rinsed first thing in the morning. Just don't give up. Vegees are cheap, so you aren't out much if he doesn't eat them and you don't have to put a ton in anyways till he starts to show interest. Anyways, that is what worked for us. Good luck and don't give up on the greens!

Some people have found that by putting a bit of juice (like grape) on the greens it makes them taste sweet and their beardies will eat it. Also if you try putting crix or worms on top they will go to eat the bug and get some veggie.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
