My beardie is recovering from extensive healthproblems and surgery: Obstruction / constipation and penis prolapse.

He has not pooped for the entire month since we started going to the vet but they have relieved him of some feces with a cottonswab. A week ago when i was there they told me they couldnt feel any feces in him and most of the obstruction should be gone according to my vet.

So he hasn't pooped. But he will eat. My question is

How many dubias should i feed him and how often? He got the subadults before he was sick, now I feed him the small ones (pillbug sizes). I've been feeding him 2-4 almost everyday but i'm not sure if thats right. I don't want to overfeed him especially when he doesn't poop. We are calling the vet tomorrow to consult but I would like to hear about your experiences here too.

It would be better to feed him a little more dubias but less frequent, so the kidneys have enough time to process the protein. It could otherwise spike uric acid levels.

I feed mine three to four adult dubias, twice a week (he's only 1,5 years though). Overfeeding him on bugs might lead to him not eating his greens (at least with my boy).

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
