Household bulb question

When using a household bulb for heat purposes, should I use a clear bulb or should it be the white bulbs?

Clear will produce a bit more heat but I prefer the light from the soft white bulbs. Use which ever you like as long as the temps are correct.

Thanks Gail!! Gosh I had a heck of a time finding a clear "bright light" bulb today. I went to several stores but the only things they had were "daylight bubs" or "soft white" but nothing saying "bright" and it was a real chore finding a store with anything over 100 watt. Sheesh!! I finally found a store with a "soft white" 200 watt bulb. I grabbed it and ran home!! I sure hope this will be okay.
