We are setting up before we get our first Beardie. My question is where do you put the heating pad? On the warm side or cool side of the tank? This is the current debate between hubby and I. I hope I am right :)............

Honestly I wouldn't even use a heating pad at all.

Dragons can't feel heat on their bellies, so it doesn't do them much good, and they are known to malfunction and overheat. Since dragons can't feel the heat on their bellies, they could be sitting on an overheating pad and burning to death. Dragons rely on overhead heat to know how hot temperatures are.

If you need to add extra heat at nighttime you will need a CHE, since the colored night bulbs are no good either.

I have a heat pad that sticks under the glass bottom from exo terra. I only use it at night in the winter to keep the cold at bay.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
