He wont stop glass surfing!

I switched over to a 55 gallon tank, different decorations and etc! He keeps glass surfing and running around the place. Then I took him out he became calm. Is this normal for them since it’s a “new” home?

I would assume so -- what about his lighting and basking temps- has anything changed on that end?

It has a little bit! His basking area is 102 and the warmer side became 70. I’m having a hard time making it warmer! It’s always cold where I live! Do you have any suggestions? He’s in a 55 gallon tank 48 inches long. He has a basking light on the left side 150 watts and a tube light with hood on top
