So I'm going organic grocery shopping for my baby today so I'm prepared when he arrives tomorrow. What are your favorite greens and veggies to feed your babies? Also, how well do they keep when refrigerated?

I tried Collard Greens first and Dongo didn't really seem to eat them ever.

Then I got Mustard Greens, which he seems to love. These are the only greens I've seen him eat so it's all I get now. I also mix some Butternut Squash in there :D

I haven't tried feeding him any fruit yet as a treat, But I wanna try some strawberries

Okay! Mustard Greens and Butternut Squash are on the list haha. I have grabbed that nutrition list from beautiful dragons, but I like to hear everyone's favorites :)

Spikey loves her Dandelion :) She doesnt like collard greens at all. Squash is okay and we havent tried mustard greens yet as I cant find them in any grocery store :/

If you have dandelions in your yard and youre sure nobody sprayed any pesticides etc you can also offer the yellow flower on the occassion. Spikey goes absolutely CRAZY for them. :p

Sweet! I think I have a pretty good list. I hear you also feed them baby food? Anyone do that?

Typically baby food is reserved for when dragons are having health issues or refusing to eat. It's not as good as fresh. Also, don't get kale. It binds calcium and is not a good staple green.

I found this site to be pretty helpful when choosing produce for my beardie. There was an even better one but I think that it got taken down or something.

I didn't even know what mustard or collard greens were until I got Kantus. XD

My fridge doesn't keep produce very well. Mustard greens can get a bit funky fast for my fridge. Luckily they sell at my store for $0.99 a big bunch.
I hear a lot of people say their beardie loves carrots. Brightly colored foods like Strawberries attract beardies.

But generally, baby bearded dragons are fussy and don't usually eat their greens. Correct me if I'm wrong but, babies eat a ratio of 90% protein and 10% greens?

Mateus loves collard, mustard, and turnip greens. I also get bok choy and give it to her occasionally. (i eat bok choy alot lol) She will also eat butternut squash however she only eats it if I hand feed her peeled off portions. She won't eat it grated for some reason. If ya want to grow these veggies yourself beardeddragon.co has the seeds for them except squash. :)

I think the whole percentage thing is a bit overblown - babies need to focus on protein, and typically it makes up most of their diet. No need to weigh or restrict anything - give them access to as many bugs and greens as they want. As adults, you should continue to give them free access to unlimited greens, but at that point you restrict bugs to 50-60 a week. That's really all that matters.

I tried Collards and Mustard Greens for Melody when she first came into my house. She liked collard greens, hates mustard greens with a passion (She won't touch them.) Then I tried Turnip Greens (Instant hit. Melody loves turnip greens). I tried Endive mixed with Turnip greens. (No endive.) Dandelion greens (No hit.)

She likes baby food butternut squash, regular canned triple quad washed green beans, sweet peas, turnips, parsley, kale, celery, celery leaves, parsnips, bell peppers, (Prickly Pear Not so much), Guava (Likes.), shredded cabbage (Rd/ Green) Cucumber.

Fruits: Blackberries, Strawberries (Seeds taken off), bananas, mangos, apples, pears, red grapes (Peeled), watermelon, peaches,

Meats: Once a year: Thanksgiving turkey (I found out she loves homemade turkey around this month and will eat some on her salad. (No problems with her after eatting. But I won't give her Thanksgiving turkey all the time and only once a year so it's not a staple in her diet. It's just what I fed her once in a blue moon.

Feeders: Crickets and superworms. I wouldn't mind trying other feeders later on.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
