no problem, i'm glad i asked then! we actually use black out curtains in the pet room (parakeet and dragon) since we live on the highway and there are street lights and gas station lights. our rescue came with all the wrong stuff too. luckily i came across this forum. there are so many helpful and knowledgeable people on here. never hesitate to ask questions.i did not. i heard a lot of mixed reactions about it and ended up buying one, i'll be sure to take this advice. thank you!
absolutely! i've found this forum to be a lot more helpful than anything else i've found so far, i'm starting to become more prepared. i'm very glad you asked too, the last thing i'd want is for him to overheat :' it's honestly crazy how little people provide for their dragons around here (as in where i live, not the forum lol), it's been amazing to see a bunch of people give them the proper lives they need! everyone's enthusiasm makes me feel a lot better.no problem, i'm glad i asked then! we actually use black out curtains in the pet room (parakeet and dragon) since we live on the highway and there are street lights and gas station lights. our rescue came with all the wrong stuff too. luckily i came across this forum. there are so many helpful and knowledgeable people on here. never hesitate to ask questions.
if you wind up needing more heat at night, which would be when your temps get around 65°, you can use a ceramic heat emitter. it produces heat but no light.
Well saidI would like to echo those before me. This site is AMAZING- you have so much support here. Don't hesitate to ask anything- big or small.
I recommend using the search button first because your question may have already been asked. At times, you may, only need 1 word-- don't over complicate things LOL
While there are so many people here, you will see the responses are similar because EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT, seriously. I've never seen this before. Check my profile, I am new to this site and not getting paid to say/write this information.
As a new beardie parent of almost 2 months but I am comfortable to respond to others based off my experience (I am truly obsessed with Rocky) but would only do so on minor things. Although I research, I would always want to dig deeper (pun intended as Rocky is a female) and try things out before speaking. However, it's what I have learned here, tried and feel comfortable and confident to respond and tag in the "experts."
We are talking about the lives of beardies, it's nothing to play with (at least I look at it that way)-
Coming from dogs to reptiles...it's a WHOLE DIFFERENT WORLD!
