Emmett, EMILIO, Emma..RIP sweet Emily

I was finally able to get Emily and Emmett outside for a bit of sunshine for 30 mins apiece before it clouded up again and got cold. 4 weeks of rain, anyone got an ark they can loan me? Nice today but more rain expected this afternoon. Still under flood warnings for parts of my county, we are not in it thank God and I pray for all those that are.
It was 13 years ago we lost a man in California that my hubby worked with or in the same building. RIP Capt Muhs, fly high. He was in a plane crash we witnessed <wont go into detail, its just to graphic> at an airshow at Point Mugu in California. You are still missed by many. Most horrific thing I have ever witnessed and never want to again.
The Em trio are doing well and still no word on the stumpies, I am about to give up on ever getting them. I did spend about an hour with Mr and Mrs Stumpy a few days ago. He is so hormonal and went after some of the other lizards or tried to. From my shoulder he was lunging at the tanks hissing. I had to put him back in with Mrs Stumpy, he was just to wild in the store. Scratched my neck trying to get to the tanks of other lizards and hissed at a HUGE python. Big brave Mr Stumpy! I love them both so much. I wish andy would give me the owners number cause I would call and give them a piece of my mind. I am very angry about them boarding them like this. I am visiting them tomorrow and will get some pictures of them.

I'm really hoping you'll get Mr & Mrs Stumpy and if you need any good weather, I'll try to send some your way. Everyone got out in the sun a bit this am, but they all said it was too hot for them, so only about 15 min ea before they jumped off the chair to the balcony floor. Wimps, all of them!

Glad your two got some sunshine, even if it wasn't for that long. Still 30 min is a great start, here's hoping the rain goes to bug someone else!

I'm negotiating getting a male from a friend right now, getting the shipping costs, she's giving him to me free. He's beautiful, 9 mo old & has never been sold. He's big, too. I'm going to name him Castiel and he'll be here June 11 if all goes well. Wish me luck!

I got out of school the 14th, it's not a very nice way to start off the summer, :x I am really hoping to get some good weather tomorrow. They say this is the last storm for a while, not sure I believe them. :roll: Sorry John lol :lol: Hope yall get good weather! I'll pray for it!

Deb I love the name Castiel. I really hope you get him as planned. Was a nice but cold day today so spent the day in the garage carving a Blackbeard tombstone with a wood burning tool in foam. Got it done and even wood grained it with a knothole in the back . Carved a compass rose in it and Blacbeard's flag. It looks good to me, for Halloween. Tomorrow I make its base, add the shells and sand to its base.
Emily and Emmett had dubia for their daily meal and Emilio got hornworms. The Em trio is sleeping now, for the night.
Went to see Mr and Mrs Stumpy today and another month paid in boarding fees, I am so angry over it! Irresponsible uncaring owners. They just call and credit card pay. I don't know what to do about it anymore. I am livid over those two poor babies!

At least you visit them, Tonja, they'd have no one but the pet shop owner without you. I know it's frustrating, as they'd have a better home with you, but not sure what you can do about it.

Here's a picture of Castiel. It's arranged, just have to make sure about the boxing of him. Have to check into what Sabrina does for that, she has no supplies as she's never shipped any of her dragons.

He's big for a 9 mo old, so she says. When she took him with his sibs to the last Repticon, people were saying he looked young to be the daddy, until she told him he was just the big sib. So I'll be sure to keep you updated. If all goes well, he'll be picked up on June 9 and I'll get him on June 11. Wish me luck! Sabrina has been trying to get me to take one of her babies for the last 8 months, what luck that he just never sold! I told her it was just meant to be! First dragon I'll actually pay for (she's giving him to me, but paying for shipping, I mean). First dragon I've not had to rescue, too.

And don't forget to take pics of your latest creation. Will want to see this one, too! You are just so talented!

OMGosh he is so handsome. I am so very happy for you getting him. Look at his size, Wow!
Here is my latest creation, Blackbeard' tombstone. I used pink insulation foam and shaped the stone, then I carved it with a wood burning tool after finding pictures on the net I wanted..put the compass rose and Blackbeard's flag on it with date of birth and death. I painted and stained it then wood grained it. <hard to wood grain>. Today I made the base, added the treasure chest and cutlass that I distressed, to it. Filled the treasure chest with "treasure". I even put a knothole in the back. I added shells, starfish, and fishnet along with plastic "seaweed". The total build time was about 36 hours.

Blackbeard had a unique flag, a skeleton with a spear stabbing a heart...it was his version of the jolly roger so I carved it in

I also added cracks and chipped the stone on the edges to make it look old and distressed. I am so glad this one is done...way to much work but lots of fun to make.

The last three tombstones done today. My neighbors kids <2 boys> always hide in my graveyard to scare people. So I gave them their own tombstones to hide around. Justin Pieces and Jake Ben Steak, now a zombie. Ben was done from one of my favorite 1972 movie, Ben the rat that led a rat army. No more tombstones.

Thanks Gina they love them, as do their parents who I had permission from to make them. This one is definitely my last and one of the most intricate I have yet to do beside the Blackbeard tombstone.
This one is still not done...just need to blacken the letters and seal them all. This one is Lizzie Borden. I love the detail in this one

Oh and I need to crack and distress it so it looks old. I used flocking for the moss on this one.
