Emmett, EMILIO, Emma..RIP sweet Emily

The Em trio are doing well. Tucked in for the night after a big day outside for a bit. Just a light sprinkle this afternoon so they went out afterwards as it was a bit warm today!
Went to the pet shop also and spent some time with the Stumpies. Both of them are doing well. This is the latest I have heard. In two weeks if they cannot find a relative to take the Stumpies they are mine, lock stock and barrel, PLUS they will pay for both of them to have separate tanks with all the accessories. We will see, this has happened before so not getting my hopes up to high. I would be thrilled to have them with my Em trio.
Not much going on here, organized all my paint, easel, canvases, and art supplies today. Trying to think of a project to do with a reindeer motor. I WILL come up with something. Got my witch in the mail, and my Blackbeard action figure for the grave stone. He is just at 6 inches so will be perfect for it!

Really?! They're willing to relinquish them to you? Oh my, this is wonderful news!
Question: As for finding a relative to take them, will that mean only to have them live out their lives still being ignored inside a tank or someone that will actually know how to take care of them? If they're going to someone who has no clue in how to care for them, then they're better off staying at the pet store.

Gina I don't know the answer to your question. I would hope anyone that would take them would take proper care of them but then again we are looking at these two precious lizards being boarded now for over 2 years. I am praying it is me that gets them both. They would want for nothing with me. I don't mean that to sound like I am the perfect beardie mommy but, they would have it better here I think than anywhere and here at least they know me so to speak. I wouldn't want them with strangers. As it is when Mr. Stumpy hears my voice he runs to the glass and dances to be held and held he does get. I keep forgetting my camera when I go visit them but promise this coming weekend to get some pictures of them and the boarding notice on their tank window. Its hard to sleep with them now hanging in the balance of where they will go.
I have been questioning myself as to why these two are so important to me when I have Emily, Emmett and Emilio. I love my Em trio so much and would never neglect them nor take away from them with 2 new ones in the house. I hate to see any animal penned and neglected like these two are. I cant honestly say what it is that I feel when I see the Stumpies. I have never been drawn to an animal like I have been these two. There is something special about them and I think its their will to survive never seeing outside the pet store. They are so full of life and have a sparkle in their eye to have never been outside the pet store. He honestly gets excited when I go in and open his tank doors to get him and her out. Maybe its dumb reasoning but I just have to have them both.
On another note, I have read about Callie Gina and its amazing and I am so happy she has taken to her house like that. I guess how you feel about Callie is how I feel about the stumpies. There is no reason, its just the way it is.
My Em trio are doing well and are sleeping safely tucked into their beds for the night. Emmett has discovered that he loves the occasional cherry with his mustard greens, Emily is stuck on blue berries. Emilio likes his collards once in a while with some carrot and green beans finely chopped. Tomorrow is cage cleaning and baths.
I finally had to put no trespassing warnings on my nasty neighbors across the street, they wont stay off my new lawn and threw their dang basketball clear up on the porch almost knocking over my African daisies. They feel they should have access to what is not theirs while protecting what is theirs from being touched or messed with. I counted 12 times with the Frisbee up on my porch and not a sorry from any of them...so 3 no trespassing were issued. Now if they throw their shoes and crap in my yard, they have to call the police to come retrieve it. This way the police can keep a record of how much they are in my yard causing annoyance and intrusion as they call it.

I know exactly what you mean by not truly knowing what it is that makes a certain animal have that magnetic hold on you, while others could be ignored. It could very well be their desire to be loved instead of fearing you.

You should start collecting all of the things that your inconsiderate neighbor's kids throw over onto your property, and make them pay to get it back.

The Em trio are doing well. Got them all up this morning at 9 am and let them bask. Fed them crickets and fresh salads. Emily and Emmett had baths and Emmett drank water <shocked he did since he normally will not>. Gave Emily a little olive oil as she was straining a bit to go potty. She did a little but still strained so she got a dose of olive oil to help her out a bit. Will stick her in the bath again in a bit to see if she will go again. Emilio is still growing and doesn't want to be handled to much which is normal for a chameleon from what I have read. He hisses and snaps the little stinker. His colors are so pretty now after another shed. I will try and get some more pictures uploaded. t
No sunshine today, thunderstorms are in the forecast again. I don't think we will have much of a summer this year if the rains don't stop.
Got all my tombstones done but one <it needs ground stakes attached to it>...had to put the ground stakes on them and when dry they will go down into the basement with everything else. I did one for, Black Bart, Blackbeard, Lizzie Borden, Ben the rat, Anne Bonny, a female pirate, and my neighbors 2 kids so 7 in total. I am so done with tombstones I think unless I definitely decide to do one for Calico Jack, another pirate. My side yard will be pirates cove since I never decorate it.
All my crafting this year is done finally.

Emily and Emmett got some time outside today for a change. They love being outside. Then it turned cold and cloudy and started spitting rain. More thunderstorms on the way. I wish it would go away. Not going to have much of a summer at this rate. I got Calico Jack's tombstone made also today. Not to happy with it so may redo it. I think I made it more difficult that it was putting the map on it with a schooner and compass. Never again :roll:

That's good that Emily and Emmett got to go outside yesterday. I'm sure it made them very happy.

Mr. and Mrs. Stumpy are still at the store and I did get some pictures as promised.
The paid in full boarding sign, this makes me so mad...Andy did tell me if they don't let me have them that he would tell them that they got out and they don't know what happened to them and he will just give them to me...I don't know about that

Well, it's awful that the owners are getting away with boarding them like that. They need a good home and their own tanks, too. I'm so hoping something happens and that you get to bring them home where they belong.

WOW :shock: Emilio sure has grown! And such awesome colours, too.

Emmett looking great, it's hard to realize how grown up he is now, I still remember how small he was when you brought him home. Time just goes so fast.

Emily, such a sweet girl, I just love her colours, too.

As much as I want you to have The Stumpies, I honestly do not think that telling their "owners" that they mysteriously got out of the tank and disappeared would be a good idea. The store owners could face an awful lawsuit and lose their business. It's a shame that their owners refuse to listen to the truth and reason.

Gina that is what I told Andy..I don't want them to face a lawsuit over the stumpies. They are ok for now. yes it is unusual for Mrs Stumpy to want to be cuddled but she wanted it that day. She literally clung and dug her little claws in. The colors on both are really pretty but more so Mr Stumpy.

My Em trio are doing well. Emilio is in a full shed again, growing like a weed. His colors are so bright and uniform over his sides. The orange is brightening up from a rust to a pumpkin color. Emily is still losing some weight and unbelievably is shedding on her back. Emmett is ever the little pig eating everything I give him. Emily did not want her greens today but munched down on cherries, pepper and green beans with some yellow squash. Not a whole lot has been going on as its been so hot out, I wont take them out, as soon as I do they get gaping and trying to run up my arm to hide in my neck.
Also been working on building my ships mast for my pirate graveyard. PVC pipe for the mast and yardarms, round clothes basket for the crows nest, heavy twine for the rigging and cheesecloth for the sails. Its over 10 feet tall with a 7 foot spread on the yard arms. Putting Spanish moss and seaweed on the crows nest and sails. I have 5 foot long pirate to hang from the yardarm and a lantern for the other side of the arm. Will be lit in a special blue light that projects a water like light so it will make the graveyard and mast look like a underwater scene. Also used pool noodles to make boat dock pilings with starfish, rope, fish net, pelican, sand and sand dollars on them.
The pilings look pretty good, you see these at boat docks where boats can hit them to swing into the boat slip to "park" was told these look very real but, they look like painted pool noodles to me lol

Its done but I will not put it together to see how it looks till tomorrow..glue is still drying but this is the start of the ships mast with crows nest

I know its sideways, and hard to see but this part of the mast is done <whole thing is done> with jolly roger and moss hanging off it

will post the whole thing together tomorrow.
