Usually until it starts to get warmer in your house and the humidity rises, so when spring comes around.

Well you can buy a warmer heat bulb for during the day so it gets to around 105 and at night have one so it stays around 75-80 and you beardy should come out of it at those temps. But some just go into it on their own by natural instincts and will come out when they are done.

lol I feel your pain, I live in Alberta, Canada..... this is my beardie's first brumation and he's been sleeping since mid Nov.

is right lol i miss his scampering.

yes it's very difficult! Although some days I wish I could "brumate" with her. It has been very cold and gloomy. I'm sure it's the same in Alberta. Hopefully the next few months will go by fast!

haha yah I've often wished that humans got to hibernate... it's -30 C here with the wind chill today and our high for the next few days is hovering around -20 before wind chill. lol i think Captain Jack has the right idea.

Do you plan on letting your beardie outside this summer?? We are definately going to let Izabella out once it gets warm so she can soak up the sun!

Yepp! Captain Jack was out last summer. I took him to parks and out for back yard sun bathing (on leash of course lol) and this year Zod will be old enough to come outside on leash too.

Mine come out every couple days. I usually wake them up for baths....and then snuggle with them. I miss them lots....mine have been at it since mid October....I'm in Illinois....we had one of the warmest beginning of winters. I hope time flies faster soon. I do have a baby bearded dragon that I recently got, she keeps me busy =D

how do you know if they are in brumation?
i usually get scared if they dont wake up when i get home form work and turn my light on. Like tonight for instence i pet carlos and he didnt wake up, so i picked him up and pet him and little and he slowly opened his eyes after a few mins. was he just in a deep sleep or starting of brumation? carly woke up as soon as i turned on my light. they both have lost their appitite as well. Not sure i could handle them sleeping for days on end.

BTW...lovemylittleyoshi, all beardies will go through brumation differently and very possibly at different times. I have 10 that are of brumation age and size. Out of them, not 2 of them, sleep the same or go into or out of brumation the same. Zak-n-Wheezie are not even on the same time clock.

i live in edmonton and Dave hasnt gone to sleep yet. I think he wants to.. his basking habits are awkward and off.
