Yeah, the storm was wicked and hopefully the last till winter.

He ate one piece of green and one cricket and a couple squirts of water to help more hydration. He's a prince LOL.
He IS completely out of brumation, just acting sluggish in the tank but outside the tank he has tons of energy...well bursts as he runs short distance and stop to lick things and repeat the cycle.

I know it's nothing Im doing, just why confuse me. If he's out he should tell me LOL.

I read another thread you lost both Gabriel and Nathaniel! Omg both boys and you know males aren't always nice to each other. I hope you find them both that's terrible!! I hope they didn't get outside that would suck so much. We have hawks here but they're ours we raised one, he's tame. He lost his mom young so we had to syringe feed him mashed up worms, he grew up and has a mate. I don't trust him anyway not alone with my lizard. Good on eggs...too bad on 100g I still don't raise females for the egg reason I don't have room for a laybox.

he may just be acting like a goober....have you tried moving some things in his tank around? He might be bored in there....

Hey,

@BeardieMama: Tried the idea and he's still the same.
It was a good thought though I thought that could be it.

He ate no bugs just a few hand fed greens this morning.
Four pieces to be exact, I thought he'd be hungry tonight but no. I didn't do bath but I did drip water and he took a few drops and walked away so when he does that he's saying he's done don't bother me anymore with that. He really likes being out...I refuse to let crickets loose in my room but Im sure he wouldn't touch them and they'd be lost. I won't touch them either he isn't being hand fed them I cannot touch them I hate how they feel. He's being a "yum yum" as I like to call someone being stubborn. He isn't acting sick but he isn't acting crazy looking for a mate either. He's healthy in every way just the no food part. I don't want him skinny to the point the vet will give me meds because of his unwillingness to eat loads. He eats very tiny amounts of food or none at all. Sometimes 6-9 pieces of greens sometimes less than that. So if it is "spring fever" he's not doing it right LOL. Most males I read are looking for mates but he's lounging around not always asleep but just lying there. He's warming up just relaxing since basking isn't working unless he eats. He's just trying to freak me out.

Do what I do when they get like that, make up the carnivore care/butternut squash and bee pollen mix. It might come in handy if he continues not to eat.

And I don't blame you for the crickets, if Imp doesn't eat them, well he doesn't. I won't feed them by hand, ever, creepy little things.

I'm having to feed all 3 boys now, Gabriel, Nathaniel and Castiel, but they all eat super worms, so much easier to feed.

Imp eats roaches (his favourite), small supers and crickets, so he gets lots to eat. I hand feed greens every morning and leave some in his dish, he sometimes eats them, too.

Hey,

Good idea Deb, I have CC well I need to find bee pollen Im sure it's at a health store. He did however take .3ml of the CC. He seemed to like it. I fed him pieces of mint and wow did he gobble it up within minutes! I still hand fed but wow. Also bath was today and just got done and no poop so 4 days without it. He'll go eventually nothing indicate impaction so he should pass it soon. He's sitting on the bed actually looking out the window bright eyed as usual. He didn't even fall asleep at 11:30a so that's good. It's 1:07p now and he's still awake so something wasn't right. Parasites maybe and I read they don't always affect poop...but Idk how effective that is. So he's moving around not as lethargic as he was a few weeks back. Mint helped whatever he's going through.

He just hasn't eaten enough to poop. Cierra has been eating since she laid her eggs last Tuesday and still hasn't pooped. So I'll be bringing the pumpkin out because she's been eating alot, already gained more than 40g!

Yes, just human grade bee pollen powder and just cover the top of the mix, see if he likes it. I put it in water for my crew, melt it in a bit of hot water, add filtered water and they all drink it.

Ok, I'll find some and give it to him. Oh yeah only filtered water to drink..bathe in tap water. Nothing wrong with it...our dogs and cats drink tap they're fine. I give my hamster/gerbils and Broly filtered water. My frogs/fish use tap water conditioned. Anyway, since the vet check up went well a few weeks back he's just lazy/bored wants to be fed like a prince. He's back to asleep, darn though mint worked for his stomach/intestines if he had a problem.

I'm starting to think maybe he's on Australia time. Idk where he came from. A family dropped him off at Petco, the family could have gotten him from anywhere including online breeder so who really knows where he's from.

Try to get him to eat basil it will help digestion and can help him to poop. that with the pumpkin and CC, also try a squash puree (pumpkins, yes they are a squash, green and yellow, all seeds removed) to feed him and toss chunks of it in with his bugs to gut load them on it.

I do but he didn't eat any of it. I had to freshly kill and hand feed crickets (omg eww) he ate that way. I think he's actually brumating as he never actually slept through winter he ate lots then. February he ate loads still. March he put some more items on the "not eat" list. Crickets he won't chase just slept, worms no, greens been no since late last year same with beardie bites (the pink cubes). He was actually active during winter and eating. He went from loads to less now none. He ate two crickets. He just seems a little sleepy. I read the brumation article it says beardies can and will go into brumation when they want no set time. Im upset that he's picking end of April/early May. My boyfriend seems to think it may be the case as he was still eating a lot. I will keep my eyes on him, if he black beards or turns dark in anyway or even loses weight (though already tested) I will rush him back my vet and see what they can do.

Draconis has beardy bites so i know what those are. It seems rather weird mine is being a pig butt while other beardies on here seem to be slowing down. you can puree some dandelion plants roots and all save for the flowers with basil and mint added in and feed it to him that way, he might even take a few bugs made that way with pumpkin and squash puree. just out stubborn him and he'll be fine.

I guess I'll go to my vet he dropped 17g! Still asleep and I fed some puréed food (bby food since nothing else) and he'll need to get checked its probably parasites now. Who knows how he got them but I don't think he can do anything if he doesn't eat enough which means no poop which means no fecal check. He WAS 393g (April 5) he originally lost 18g but got him to gain 1g to make a total of 17g left to gain back. People say they shouldn't lose too much but 17 seems to be a big number to me. I'll be getting some basil tomorrow since I didn't check weight till today and Im totally freaking out! I didn't wanna have to do meds but I might if he gives me a sample. I got some soy yogurt on hand just in case...I'll need ammonia or steam cleaner to kill coccida if it is.

see if you can get an organic basil plant preferably Italian broad leaf or holy basil (if you can find it if you lived closer i would grow you a fast track holy basil starter pack) mine loves dwarf Italian basil so maybe try to find that if you can. The basil will kill off parasites and lower the count if it is parasites.

Aw thanks that'd be great, only if i lived close. Yeah, my vet or boyfriend can't do anything if he doesn't poop and we can't exactly guess whats up without the poop. Aye....he doesn't look skinny, has good color, no dark beard or tail. He's not indicating sick or distress, it's weird he held weight all winter now he's dropping WTF?! He still has fat pads on his head. You really wouldn't know unless you tested his weight because he looks good. He's not even lifeless, he'll wake up if i talk or go near his tank. Ok I'll find organic though my mom might pick up those in the little box at the store in the produce section. It's still a spice no matter what. I tried mint hoping he had an achey tummy but didn't work though he ate all of the leaf.

Thanks for the tip I'll ask her to get the plant if she can. I'm sure the one in the box isn't too bad and should have the same properties. After calling my vet he did say without poop I can't exactly give him any antiparasitc meds without knowing which ones it is. He did say try some basil maybe that'll help in the meantime till he gives a sample. He hasn't pooped in the tank since he got "ill" and parasites come with poop. I'll disinfect anyway.

yes please get the plant, the boxed stuff has lost much of its potency. do you have a publix or green house near by? most areas now have organic co-ops you might look into one and if you do stock up on organic herbs and beardy friendly salads fixings.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
