Well, as a person who is practically in looooove with Bearded Dragons, but also with a zoo of other pets, I was wondering how your animals do with your Beardies.
Specifically dogs/cats.

Thanks :):)

I have one cat who wants nothing more than to get a hold of Blaze. She also wants to 'play' with the two new baby snakes we have. She's a real chicken, though. She is scared of the monitor and the big snakes - she stays back.

Our other cat could give a crap.. she might lift her head to see what is going on, but she's not going to move..

Honestly I have cats and a dog and they all seem to love eachother.. the beardie will run thru her tank trying to chase them.. and when I was holding her our cat just decided to start licking her.. so, obviously watch them, but i have seen tons of pics w/ beardies and other animals.. and they both look happy.

Hmm I wouldn't trust my cat Pudding with my beardie for a SECOND!!

Pudding is an excellent hunter, regularly catching mice, rats and birds, and he has become obsessed with watching baby Atticus. It would be asking for trouble at our house.

Depends on the cat I guess!

I wouldn't trust the dog or cat with my beardies. My cat is a good hunter, and my dog is just too big to be careful enough not to hurt them. (even if it was just playing)

My cat could care less...Shes already had a good sniff and seems more than satisfied with her conclusions.

My dog wont pass up an oportunity to get a whole new sniff.

Thats about it.

My dog Gizmo really couldnt care less ( shih-Tzu )....MAX will run up to him and Gizmo and he just looks down at him like "How can I help you today"?
They will both sit and watch out the porch window...I have a pic somewhere, I can post...too cool.

Every pet is different so be careful

I dont trust the kitten with my beardie. Just 'cuz he is 2 months old and my beardie is about 3 months old. The kitten is scared of my boa though. Cats are great to catch the run away feeders.

We've got two dogs and five cats. Our biggest dog, Boomer, who's 100 lbs, loves to smell Jasper. The little one, who's 5 lbs, gets very jealous. She thinks Jasper is going to take her place.
Jazz has only met three of the cats. The oldest (Percy) has seen all kinds of animals come and go, and so is no longer affected by the newbies. Tom, who's very mean and chases all the other animals around the house, is actually scared of Jasper, which is just hilarious. His sister, Holly, is afraid of Jazzy too. The little fraidy cats!
Here's Boomer, checking him out:

Holly, ready to flee:

And Percy, who couldn't care less:

I've gotta get a vid of Jasper chasing Tom down the hallway. :laughing6:

my buddy has a shih-tzu named gizmo too lol imagine that

I have 2 cats and 1 dog. The one cats, will sit by the tank for hours and swat at the tank when ever Pin Pin (my dragon) gets close to the glass. The other cat could care less. Our dog loves everyone and thing. She protects our turtle from the cats when we take her out. I haven't had my beardie for long, but when I take him out my dog sniffs, but thats it, I'm sure when he gets bigger they will be friends.

Our beardie impressed me with her perception of our two cats. She is clearly not upset by our tabby, who spends a lot of time around the viv (because that's where WE are!), and in fact, barely gives him the time of day when he's pawing at the glass, or looking over her while she's eating in her small tank... in fact, yesterday he sat beside her, watching in AWE as she hunted down her crickets. He was clearly impressed, as he's never been much the hunter himself.

OTOH, beardie dives into her plants every time our black medium hair walks by her viv, and she's right to do so. Black cat is the sweetest, shy little dearie to humans, but she is the consummate huntress, always on the prowl. And she's quite adept. Funny, she hasn't really "noticed" beardie all that much (probably because beardie heads for the bushes when she come round), but if she sees that little cutie moving one of these days, I imagine she'll make it a habit to "visit the viv" often.

Luckily, black cat doesn't hang around in the house much during the day (tabby is omnipresent to annoying levels  ). And, the cats don't have access to the part of the house beardie lives in during the night.

To share: the other day, I was holding beardie at the sunny window and tabby comes up, and sits beside us (but of course, he will NOT be ignored in favor of the scaly one). But there we were, three happy beings, side by side (by side), enjoying some rare sun in wintertime.

The best,
Em

It really does depend on the animal. My German Shepard and American Bulldog are so gentle and let the beardies climb all over them and never flinch. My lab mix just wants to play but me Mommy won't let him as he is a bit of a clumsy boy and pit puppy is a definate no no she goes outside during roaming and holding time. My cats just veiw them as entertainment even though Tinkerbell would rather watch the crickets for hours on end trying to catch them through glass. The other just lays on top of the screen lid and sleeps.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
