Yep. That's their cue to sleep. It may take some time to get him in the rhythm, however, so no reason to worry if he doesn't for some time yet.

It's great to have the lights on a timer, or be very exact about when you turn them on/off. Our beardie has his cycle down so well that we actually starts cozying up about a minute before lights out. It's better than clockwork. For a timer, 14 hours of day and 10 of night is good.

Alright i have it cued to lights on at 7 am and lights off at 7 pm.
One more question though i leave for school in the morning and is it ok if i prepare a salad the night before, put it in the fridge and put it in his cage in the morning for food until i get home at 445?

Depending on how old he is, you may want to throw some worms in with the salad in the morning. Try to get him about 2 more hours of daytime, maybe in the morning so you can make sure he basks for an hour before you give him food.

Yes, leaving your beardie food during the day is a good idea. Put a little water in the bottom of the salad dish and the greens will stay fresh for the day. As for sleeping, I just turn off their lights (we have 5 beardies) and within a few minutes cover them up & they're in dreamland until lights go on in the morning.
Good luck & have fun!

Depending on when you leave for school, you might want to put the lights on to adjust to your schdule. Make sure they are on at least 1 hour before feeding him his feeders in order for him to have proper digestion. Same thing at night, make sure he has at least 1.5 - 2 hours before lights out after his last feeding. If he is a baby, he should be fed at least 2x a day..Once in the morning, once in the evening. Ideally 3x but with work & school schedule, it's hard to do the 3x feeding..

If you click on the photobucket link, you will see a IMG code, when you click on that it will copy it, then you just paste it in here... It's either under the picture or to the right of it.. you will see an email link, and http, link, or an IMG link..

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
