If you are using the egg crate for crickets I do not think that it will work. The crickets eat the egg crate and I do not think that they can climb on plastic.

When my BD was sick I gave him Repti-aid, it helped with dehydration and gives them calories to help him get better. You can get it from Petco or Petsmart. You just mix it up like paste and inject it in to their mouth with a syringe. It seemed to help.
