Idea! Plastic Egg Crates vs Pulp Egg Crates?

So I was looking at http://www.eggcartons.com) and wondering if it is worth it to buy some of the plastic egg crates.
In theory, couldn't I just rinse these off when cleaning is needed, and save a trip to a restaurant?

Depending on what you use them for. Most of your feeder roaches cant climb plastic so they wouldnt work for them.

If you are using the egg crate for crickets I do not think that it will work. The crickets eat the egg crate and I do not think that they can climb on plastic.

Dubias, no worries I'm just using regular pulp crate.
