Oooooooo!! Unhappy beardie!! Mine is going thru a second shed right now, and he's actually getting moody for the first time I've ever seen. It's amazing how expressive they are! There is no DOUBT that that'sa peevish lizard! Poor dear!

I love how the colors are coming out on your beardies. I'm glad you're having a better experience with your second Kovu then you had with your first Kovu from Petsmart.

lol, thanks everyone. I love to see their reactions to things. They ARE quite expressive! I can't syop looking at them, they've gotten such a brightness to their colors, Zuri is so red and the pattern down her spine is amazing, she has one like her mother from the photos I've seen of her, but the color is all from her daddy!
And Kovu is this mid dark/light orange and his sidebars look purple/dark blue against them. SO amazed And I may even be getting another dragon in a few months. MAYBE. But if I do, it'll be from Rio's Reptiles, and a leatherback !

We have three leatherbacks and they are all different feeling. One is like a micro scale and is very smooth with almost no texture, and then there is what I expected a leatherback to feel like, and then we have a slightly rougher one. She's only a little bit rougher, but it is enough to notice. You would be getting a quality dragon if you went with Rio Reptiles. That's something awesome to look forward to.

I know! Zuri is from there, and she is just a joy to have Leatherbacks are so awesome, but If I do get one, that'd be the LAST for me for awhile! When I''m older and have the money and space and things needed, I'd love to breed beardies

Oh her colors are absolutely gorgeous! I still say my Newt's colors are the best but thats a parents obligation haha. But she really is stunning!

Thanks! lol, all beardies are beautiful! Leatherbacks are basicly the same, just very smooth skin. They still have the side spikes and verything though.

It just blows me away how many "morphs" there are!!! I got to see german giants the same age as my Newt was last November. and NOW shes that big! But your lady is truely stunning! perhaps the next lovlie I take home will be a thought-out-carefully-chosen instead of a couldnt-leave-it-had-to-adopt/save. haha

Ok, so I am entering this conversation quite late but I have a Rio Reptiles leatherback and I love him.
He's much different than my normal scaled female, texture wise anyway. And he has side spikes and head spikes but they are much smaller. It kinda makes him stay more baby looking. Which I don't mind cause
I don't want him to be a grown up yet. He is a Zylla/Houdini baby, hopefully she breeds those two together again this year. That's him in my avatar pic. If you get one then we will have 2 babies that are siblings.
That would be cool. What is Zuri's hatch date? Tazz's is Aug. 12th.

I hope I can get one, still not a definate, but hopefully I'll have a decison next Week. Actually, she is breeding, Voodoo, a male from Zylla/Houdini with Skyy. She said they'd hatch on April 14th, I believe. But Zuri hatched on September 10th. And we already have sibling beardies, Zuri is an Audym/Vyllyn baby, as is your girl
