Zilla bulbs?

I have a 20 W 50 dessert uva uvb coil bulb for my beardie.
Anyone have this make? Any opinions?

Is this the one you have? http://www.petmountain.com/show_product/515540/?utm_source=bizrate&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=515540 If so, I would suggest you turn it off right away and replace with a Repti-Sun 10.0 strip fluorescent within a few days. Thank you for your help, im just really having a terrible time with my beardie and its starting to really overwhelm me.

Could this have anything to do with Brians non existant appetite?

ive been doing some research and ive come across a Mega-Ray SB 100wt Mercury Vapour Bulbs

they come with very high reccomendations and great reviews...have you heard of them?

Yes, everyone has heard of them. :lol: They are great bulbs and the T-Rex 100 watts are great too. Only thing is that since those bulbs get so hot & are very strong with UV output, you need a minimum of a 40 gallon tank in order to use them. What size tank do you have?

Good lord i think i just might be in the right direction. My boy just might have a fighting change with this ignorant mother of his.

I have a 30 gallon for Brian, hes roughly 7 inches...Actually more like 6 and a few mm if hes lucky.

im usually in all other forums except this one. Figures.
I think im going to wait till morn and call a big store nearby that carries rep stuff and ask if they've got those specific bulbs, if not ill order online.

Ill tell you one thing though...if after the change in uv his appetite doesnt improve...I just dont know what ill do.

I just dont understand why the breeder i got Brian from uses these then?
Hes got hundereds of dragons in his shop and they all look so happy and healthy...The more i know the less i understand

Yes a while back someone had commented (cant remember whom) that the lights i had were no good - then i spoke to a clerk that worked at a reptile section of a pet store and told me they were perfectly fine and that i was in good hands. I spoke to yet another person who said the same thing - actually raved about them and their positive impact with his beardies.

I was calm for a little while until Brian almost completely stopped eating. Ive got vitamins and all the right food and temps...The only thing nagging my gut was my uv lamp and lowe and behold - it is.
