Just thought we could start identifying things around the house that indicate a house full of beardies, i.e. You know you're living with beardies when...
while barefoot, you step on a thorn. When you remove it, it's actually a shedded beardie scale!

You know you're living with beardies when...
Crickets sing from all corners WITHIN the house!

You know you're living with beardies when...
Your refrigerator is full of worms and this is a very good thing, not a sign for a serious cleaning job!

I know there are many more ways that show others we are doing things a little bit differently! So, how do you know you're living with beardies?

when your bath tub has toothbrushes for beardies
wake up early just to feed the dragons and not yourself

When your excuse for being late to class is "My lizard was puffed up this morning and I was really worried about her so I just had to pick her up and snuggle her but don't worry she's okay she just needed cuddles and she unpuffed and all her stress marks went away and she got a creamy white belly"

When your mom calls to tell you sorry about the applesauce all over the viv but your beardie was really hungry

~you feel more rested because you now go to sleep shortly after the beardies do.
~when, upon hearing that a coworker has recently given birth ("how's the baby?" ask the other coworkers...) you ask what morph it has.
~when you have a special "beardie hat" that you wear especially so your beardie can can perch up high (or in it, hee hee)
~when you no longer suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder because you now share the simulated sun with your beardie all winter. :mrgreen:
~when you take the phrase "opening up a whole new can of worms" literally, rather than in the figurative sense.

Also? Recently in culinary arts 1 we were practicing garde manger work (garnishing, basically) and were told that we would get to keep and possibly eat our final project. I made the ideal beardie salad and put it in a tomato cup. I got an A+ and was told that my veggie choice was top notch and that it was both colorful and nutritious. :wink:

I'm still in high school, but we have culinary arts courses 1-3 at my school-- kind of a precursor to an actual culinary institute. I plan on taking them all.

What is funny is once and a while I do actually open up a con of worms. Infact it says right on the side of the can "can o worms".

But you squeal REALLY loud when you see it is a girl. The sales girl thinks you are crazy about following her around when she takes YOUR dragon and shoves it into a deli cup then wonders around getting paperwork and won't give you the 'deli cup' back until after you show your $$ at the register. Then you relax when you walk out the door on your way home.

No, I couldn't keep her in the cup on the way home. Thank goodness my husband was driving, lol.

Perhaps I haven't read too many of these, but is my Pheonix the only beardie that licks EVERYTHING? When I lay down to get on the computer, I put him on my chest and he licks that, runs to lick my hand and then licks the computer.
