Just thought we could start identifying things around the house that indicate a house full of beardies, i.e. You know you're living with beardies when...
while barefoot, you step on a thorn. When you remove it, it's actually a shedded beardie scale!

You know you're living with beardies when...
Crickets sing from all corners WITHIN the house!

You know you're living with beardies when...
Your refrigerator is full of worms and this is a very good thing, not a sign for a serious cleaning job!

I know there are many more ways that show others we are doing things a little bit differently! So, how do you know you're living with beardies?

YKYLWBW.... you are watching a national news program that is talking about 2 planes and one truck (all ups) being delayed because suspicious packages. You understand why they are doing this but your very first thought is "What about any beardies that are being delivered? You worry about any beardies being delivered in these three places, even tho you don't have any idea if said reptiles are on these three ups places.

OMG Lori, I thought about that too -- I was heading to the school to chaperone the dance, and heard that... my first thought, "I hope fresnowitte didn't ship any babies to those places, she'll go outta her mind!"

I was worried about Barb sending beardies (first) then I realized that a lot of people send beardies other than her and other reptiles like snakes which I'm not real fond of but other people are.

YKYLWBW -- you nearly cry when two of your dragons puff & beard at you, but then you realize that you are still wearing your full halloween costume (crazy rainbow clown w/rainbow wig & facepaint). Psycho ran to the other end of the tank, he didn't want to be anywhere in the vicinity of me! :shock: I've been dissed! Crash went and hid behind his logs, peeking out at me like "WTH are you and why are you coming near me, I bite"...

:laughhard: that was funny! and it reminded me of the times Goldie beards me. Usually this is when she's outside and I'm wearing sunglasses that obviously change my face so much so that she's not sure who I am and wants me to know not to mess with her. :lol: :lol: She's getting less feisty with that as I talk to her and she's starting to recognize me more, then I change the sunglasses I wear and it starts all over again. They are sooo funny, aren't they!

OMG too funny! Quasi was super snuggled into daddy, and I made him put him away before we went to vote -- I was worried the little 90 year old wrinkled little old ladies that run our precinct would have a coronary. Next time, I think I'll take the little boog, it'll be warmer then too.

When we took Rosie and Goldie in August, I was surprised they were older but they didn't seem to mind them. They wouldn't let them vote, tho.

Yeah when I told my parents I was going to bring a beardie home they said absolutely not.... but I told them that I pay rent and that I was bringing one home anyways. Yeah now the story is if I do bring one home my parents will have nothing to do with it, but I have a feeling they will warm up to my beardie when I actually do bring one home

So since my parents are already not keen on the idea of me getting a beardie I don't want them getting angry because the bills are going up :-( , but it doesn't seem like it should be that much from the replies I've been getting on here.

When i told my mom i was getting a beardie she was a little bit freaked out & didn't like the idea at all, now i have two and i always catch her in my room looking at & talking to them and randomly asking me how they're doing! :lol:

You accidentally put out the "calcium shaker" instead of the salt shaker when guests come over for dinner.

YKYLWBW you take them with you on a day long shopping trip because you aren't sure when you will get home and it's supposed to be cold that evening and don't want them getting too cold. Then your husband talks to more people, just because they are with you and he's giving them warm sun time out of the vehicle and that's when dozens of people stop by to ask about them and make the usual comments.
