Just thought we could start identifying things around the house that indicate a house full of beardies, i.e. You know you're living with beardies when...
while barefoot, you step on a thorn. When you remove it, it's actually a shedded beardie scale!

You know you're living with beardies when...
Crickets sing from all corners WITHIN the house!

You know you're living with beardies when...
Your refrigerator is full of worms and this is a very good thing, not a sign for a serious cleaning job!

I know there are many more ways that show others we are doing things a little bit differently! So, how do you know you're living with beardies?

Yeah Cosmo is a chicken and his breed is supposed to be able to take on a grizzly bear! :lol: :lol: I think I'll carry my camera w/ me from now on :mrgreen:

When you see produce, your first thought is "can my dragon eat this?"


when your list of complaints of the day include things like your dragon pooping on their basking rock/log again, or picking through their salad to eat their favorite bits first. Extra points if you find yourself lecturing them for it.

when you hate lightening bugs

when you look up random plants and weeds in your yard to make sure they're not toxic.

when you want to cuss your neighbor for revving their loud car not because it bothers you but because it scared your dragon.

when your emergency storm plans include who's going to grab the dragons.

when you can tell what time it is by what your dragon is doing.

When you have a counter full of dirty dishes because the sink of full of dirty rocks and cage furniture.

time 24/7

when you keep the cricket holder in your bedroom because it's cooler there. Plus their noise reminds you of camping & actually lulls you to sleep.

When there's hardly any room in the living room for visitors & if they visit, hey'll have to get used to 3 dragons staring at them from the 3 tanks side by side along one wall in the living room, never mind the 75 gal tank behind the couch. :mrgreen:

And of course, there's always the odd super beetle that hatches without you knowing & you keep wondering where these black beetles are coming from
