dubias of course. they are slow'ish movers, can't climb vertically, have little to no smell and are very easy to breed. I just ordered my first dubia breeding kit so I have done lots of research on these

Well, I'm no professional but I'm really glad I went with Dubias. The colony really took off quite fast and is very large now. They're easy to maintain and very little work involved.

I posted pics of mine in this thread:

Where did you get your breeding kit?

I JUST got my starter kit of dubias. I got mine from theroachguy.com. I'm in Indiana and I got them today & they where shipped out from VA on Monday. I would use him, he has answered all my questions very quickly and he is VERY nice to work with. For the kit, it has 1 Lb of roach chow IE food, and 2 Oz of gel water, that will make about 2 gallons of water. and 3 things of egg crates and a thing of screen to put on your tote for air flow. That all ran me $75.95, I had to get the winter shipping as it has been cold here.

I too got my kit from theroachguy.com. He only charges $55.00 and you get 145 roaches plus 3 adult pairs.

Well hopefully they breed as fast as they say....before you know I will be overrun w/the little buggars! I know Izzy will love them, he loves to try to eat anything that moves, but I am hoping to entice the tegu w/them also...we'll see

The 3 main roaches that I sell are dubia, discoids and turks. All 3 or non flying and non climbing with no smell. Turks are the smallest and breed the fastest, they are great for younger pets who eat a lot! Dubia is the next size up and is the medium size of the 3, they breed slow and the adults are about perfect for juvie beardies. Discoids get larger than all 3 and I prefer them to discoids because of this size.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
