Weird Tail?

Ok, I know this is hard to see. I guess Im wondering if this retained shed?? Do you see how the vertical lines dont line up?
Its like she has separate sections on her tail. I don't know? Anyway here's the pic.

You'd know if it was retained shed, the skin would be very tight & very dark, it's not abnormal for beardies to have lighter, then a bit darker rings on their tail.

Ok. Just making sure. See towards the bottom, the scales/lines look crooked. She likes it that way :wink:

Mine have a few misaligned scales on their tails too. I panicked over them at first, but then realized that it really doesn't matter as long as the scales are healthy and not changing strange colors.

the end of mines tail also is darker than his body but he seems fine

All 5 of my beardies have darker tips on their tails, it seems to be a normal thing. As long as it's not black & shrivelled you're baby's tail is good!

Tails get thinner as you get to the tip, so they can't fit as many rows of scales. The scales sometimes don't line up perfectly close to the tip due to this. Nothing to worry about!

yeah, I noticed that on Jango as well.. his scales don't line up either.
