Varieties?

Im looking at switching to tile and i know every one recommends slate but i always like to have options. Can you guys tell me the top three best tile? Or just tell me the tile you use and why you chose it.

I use slate tile. It provides grip, trims nails, very easy to clean, and remove for those BIG clean out days Also, easy to cut if the place you purchase them won't cut for you. Others I've seen use ceramic and creating grip with sandpaper

I use vinyl tiles for the entire viv and then used a slate tile as a little ramp to his food bowl to help trim his nails. The vinyl tends to be a little slippery, someone on here sanded his down a bit to remove the wax, so that is something you could try. But so far I am happy with the set up. It is easier to clean up the vinyl tiles. Since Toa like to poop on the slate I just take it out and give it a good scrub at least once a week with spot cleanings in between. Hope this helps!
