What is the distance I need to have this uvb?

Depends on where the fixture is? It would need to go inside the tank for a tank w/a screen that is a fine mesh type --- 12-15 inches --- wide hole type it can sit on top w/ a distance of 8-10 inches both w / basking decor pieces directly under it --- it would need to be changed out in a year I recommend one month prior to --
