Tyrus' Crazy Tactics- new pics pg5

Hey guys, it't been a while since I posted any pics of Tyrus (formerly Deanie) As some of you know we had a quick bout with MBD, I corrected all husbandry errors and hes been growing like a weed since.

Here is the before (June 05/2011)
5 inches long and 3.3g

And here he is today (Dec 26/2011) Weighing in at 299g at this point and approx 15inches long

I cant believe how fast they grow!

LOL! The senior tank! Hoodoo is an adorable old little guy. It's like a retirement home. So peaceful easy to chill out in. I love it!

Tyrus is so cute! He was adorable when he was a tiny baby. Wow, he was so small! Now he's huge! Nice job with him, he looks great!

Thanks everyone! Hoodoo is blushing lol I've since taken the little platform out and put the plant in the cool corner.

I miss his exploding days! He shed his left hind leg and lips a couple weeks ago, but no big sheds in the last three months. It's kind of a good thing because he gets really grumpy whilst shedding :lol:

A pic of Tyrus' new tank- even if I'm really late with it lol

The reptisun ballast doesn't have any hole in it and I wasn't comfortable using heavy duty Velcro due to my paranoia lol. So I had to be creative, well sorta... I ended up using mighty putty to make a "bracket" system to hold it up.

Today was bathday! Both hoodoo and Tyrus pooped in their baths this am, this is a first for Tyrus lol
Weighed them both after bath time:

Tyrus: 353g
Hoodoo: 353g

Soo weird, I never thought that I would see them the same weight on the same morning.

Thank you! The worst part is they think they're cute too! Their vivs are always a work in progress, forever changing. I'm hoping to find the time to build a 4x2x2 this summer. The 40 gal breeder Tyrus is in just doesn't look big enough in comparison to Hoodoos 55 gal :?

Everyday these boys make me smile and laugh, I wouldn't give them up for the world!

Tyrus gives the best stink eye I have ever seen. I love the shedding picture where he doesn't want to be looked at. LOL! He looks like a very moody shedder. So is our Maya. I can't believe tiny Tyrus versus the big guy he is now. They growwww and change so fast!!

It's funny, he's the biggest sweetie pie but when he thinks he has been wronged look out for that stink eye. If I didn't watch Tyrus grow I wouldn't believe it's the same dragon lol

I love their tongues, too. We have a 3 year old huge 700+ gram female who has a mammoth tongue. She loves to be hand fed and will take the food very slowly. It is like slow motion - that tongue comes out and sticks to the cricket and you let it go and she brings it into her mouth. I swear it's so cool.

Hehe I'm always amazed by that sticky tongue. Once I had painted my fingernails this bright green turquoise color, stuck my hand in Ty's tank and he ran over stuck his tongue to my fingernail and tried to pull it into his mouth! I then realized my polish was hornworm color LOL.
Luckily he was smaller than he is now but I was still amazed by the strength and stick to it
