Tyrus' Crazy Tactics- new pics pg5

Hey guys, it't been a while since I posted any pics of Tyrus (formerly Deanie) As some of you know we had a quick bout with MBD, I corrected all husbandry errors and hes been growing like a weed since.

Here is the before (June 05/2011)
5 inches long and 3.3g

And here he is today (Dec 26/2011) Weighing in at 299g at this point and approx 15inches long

I cant believe how fast they grow!

I took a picture of each of the boys this morning. Tyrus officially weighs more than Hoodoo. :mrgreen:

Mr. Houdini (his actual name), Ive always called him Hoodoo though. Not a morning guy LOL!

And Tyrus, who loves mornings just like his slave.

I love Hoodoo's morning stinkeye! How cute is his little face?! Oh jeez Tyrus stop growing, youre huge! Glad to see that there's no problem with Tyrus eating his food, you can clearly see by his size! LOL

Thanks guys :mrgreen: , In all reality Tyrus is only half the weight of Thor :shock: but he has been pigging out on protein so I keep hoping :lol:

A little update:

Tyrus is a little dehydrated lately, the room he is in is very dry. I've been giving him extra oral fluids, more baths and Electrolytes which seems to be helping.

Hoodoo hasn't been eating as much, but at twelve years this is to be expected. I've ordered him some more butterworms as they are his favorite thing ever I cannot wait for them to get here!

Supposed to snow here today.... 15-25cm of the white stuff...yay..

It amazes me that Hoodoo is 12 years old. That's just incredible. Everyone here loves butterworms, but wow are the ever expensive. We are due to order more, but with 6 dragons they are gone in a flash! :shock: Such a healthy feeder, though.

Tyrus really is a little porker! lol

Wow 12yrs old, that is awesome! Both of your boys are gorgeous and i love your setups! What is that on the bottom of your tanks? looks kinda like bamboo matting, I use carpet end pieces because I can throw them away and am always curious when I see something else I can possibly use

I use non adhesive smooth top shelf liner from Walmart, I really like the bamboo look and it's super easy to maintain. I spot clean messes and change it out once a month when I do a full steam clean.

Do you find they have decent traction on it? I'm loving the look of it and it would probably be even easier cleanup than the carpet i use! hmmm, maybe time for a viv overhaul 8)

I was looking through your pictures again. Hoodoo is so cute can I please give him a hug? LOL he's got the cutest little face and his nose is so short and stubby it's so cute.

It much easier to keep clean compared to reptile carpet. Even stiff Hoodoo has no trouble getting around on it where as with tiles he was slipping out constantly.

I adore Hoodoo's short snout as well, it's too cute! He's more of an explorerer less of a cuddler lol where as Tyrus will cuddle for eternity.
