The adventures of angel,Christine and Isabella!!!!

Hello everyone one of my close friends bought this little baby bearded dragon about a week ago and someone in his apartment told the owner and he had to get rid of it he was going to sell it to this one kid and he had like 3 of these and all died i think the oldest was 5 months so i steped in and said ill buy it so i have this little guy/girl.
I could really use any advise i can get this is what i got set up a 20 gallon tank "guy gave me a 10 gallon but thought it was to small rit now"a basking rock 2 temp and hum gauges 2 domes and got a day white light incandescent spot,uvb bulb and a night black heat.
this little guy/girl is 5 inches she eats like 20 crickets a day "had him or her for 3 days" and greens 3 times a day which it loves big time i spray him or her onces a day with water.
Any advice would be great how long to get the basking light on uvb light ect anything will help also on other things i need to get that i didnt just bought some of that calcium powder to

one last question i have a ecobulb its a coil its a 60watt house bulb and its soft white it says it will reach 140f i now thats to hot but if i get a dimmer i sould be good rit??????????

I have no idea how ecobults work, or if they're good for dragons, but 140F is too high a temp for your little one, needs to be under 110F. Try a regular household bulb, seriously, try 60W & see how that works. It should fit in the dome you have. See how that works.

I really don't know how those coil lights affect her, I know that the UVB coil lights aren't good, but maybe the regular coil lights are fine. I'll ask someone who may know & get back to you before you go spend any more $

I sent an email to a friend, but not sure when she'll be back to me. So have you had a chance to find the reptisun? Did they have them at the pet shop? Take the coil UVB out of your baby's tank right away, she'll be ok until you get the reptisun, meanwhile work on her basking temps. Did you get her outside? 1 hour of sunlight = 5 hrs under a UVB light, so if you can spend at least that much she'll be ok for the day!

ok just came in and i put her back in her tank is she suppose to be shedding?

She will shed when she's ready if she already is that's great they shed a lot in their first year

yea she just did i was outside in the sun with her for like 35min and she started to shed just making sure it was ok shes got little spikes on her tail now

i remember i left fowlcores cage open so he couldnt get any light on accident then he shed when i came home
i think its becuase it was really drie in the day.

Ok well i just got home from the pet store and i was on fire when i got there because they keep telling me all the stuff i had some good so i brought my bearded dragon book and they felt so bad for what happend that they told me to bring back my stuff and we would figure it out so i got all the domes and bulbs and brought it to them and swaped out everything so what i got was 2 flukers 75 watt domes a light for at night to heat up and puts off some light very little so she wont be afraid of and a 18 in zilla uvb fixture i got the reptisun 10.0 18in bulb and also a digital temp gauges i also returned that rep glow coil uvb and all said and done payed $8.35 for all the stuff so one side of the tank is about 78 and the other is 105.8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY

Good for you, don't worry about the night light bothering her, you'll find out in the morning how that's going. Hope you get the basking temps ok, you might want to lift the basking light if it's too hot. So let me know tomorrow how this all goes & great that you got the good UVB light!
