A picture would be helpful. Any idea how it happened ? Was it scratched ? Is it the actual eye or the lid covering it ? You can flush eyes with artificial tears from a drugstore, if there's a bad infection, you may need anti biotic ointment like Terramycin. I recently had the first eye infection in [a newly hatched baby] in 16 yrs. of having beardies, so since it came right out of the incubator [ it was obviously scratched as the babies were hatching] and would never have survived a vet trip, I Googled raw honey. I've used unpasteurized honey for my beardies on cuts and sores, so I wondered about eyes. I found an article that recommended one part honey to 10 parts water. I warmed about 1/4 teaspoon of the water slightly, added the honey, and applied with a Q-tip about 3 times a day. In 2 days the pus came right out [ the eye was unbelivably swollen] and the eye was normal looking within a day or two. If you do use honey, make sure it's unpasteurized, which is different than the regular store honey....it must say that on the bottle. Raw honey works because it's a natural anti bacterial / antibiotic.....[and you can use it in your tea and cereal too, can't beat that ]
