He seems to prefer to close it. Could this be from having it shut for so long? Im planning on taking him in anyway just to put my mind at ease.
Any thoughts?
In the picture it seems he still has his eye somewhat squinted, there may still be some shed in his eye

Try rinsing the eye w/ some saline solution NO contact lens stuff --- see if it makes a difference he may have something in it --- also make sure your using a solid clear bright white basking bulb NO off white NO yellowish NO colored and NO daytime bulbs ---

Hello,

His eye may still be a little irritated from having the shed over it for awhile. The saline solution should
help out for him. Just try to wash it out a couple of times per day to see how that does for him.
Is he eating a little better now?

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
