stress lines :(

i am crying as i type this my juvi beardie i got two months ago has been eatingand everything now he been having stress lines and i have the setup and he still eats but whats wrong

Please dont get too upset. It could be something minor.

Could you answer the following questions and im sure we will be able to help?

How old is your dragon?
How long have you had your dragon?
How long is your dragon?
What is the sex of your dragon?
What size enclosure do you have your dragon in?
What type substrate do you have on the bottom of your tank?
Do you use UVB lights?
If so, Is it a coil, compact, fluorescent tube, or Mercury Vapor bulb?
What is the brand name and number of your bulb? Wattage (if MVB)?
How old is your UVB bulb?
How close can your dragon get to the UVB?
Do you use a separate basking bulb? What kind and what is the wattage?
What are the basking temps?
What is the cool side temp?
Do you take the temps with a stick on thermometer, a digital thermometer with a wire and a probe end or a temp gun?
Where exactly are you taking your basking temps?
Do you use a heat rock or heat pad?
What do you feed your dragon? Please be specific.
How often do you feed and what time do you feed (morning, afternoon, night)?
Do you gutload (feed) your crickets, worms, etc?
Do you use vitamin or calcium supplements? What brand(s)? How many days a week do you use each of them?
Is your dragon having regular bowel movements (poops)?
Do you bath your dragon? How often?
Do you mist your dragon or offer water other than in the bath?
Does your dragon share an enclosure with another dragon?

Agreed... it could be something minor or major. Mine wakes up with them every morning because he doesn't like 75 degrees. Also, if they are shedding they get them cause they don't like feeling all yucky and itchy.

I wouldn't worry about the stress marks. I think calling them stress marks is highly overrated. I'm not convinced they are stress marks. Sometimes the beardies get dark in their tank because they are trying to absorb the heat they need. It seems to me this "stress marks" thing has caused unnecessary panic among new owners. My girls have them, but they come and go depending on wether they are cold or not.

Agreed, its just a scary name for something that is very tempermental.
My dragon darkens her lines when she gets taken out of the bath.
I think she feels undignified!!!!

As your a worried new owner it might help to answer the questions so we can put your mind at easr

good news there gone and yea my dragon gets them in the morning but when i get home from middle school there gone so there not stress marks phew thanks guys :mrgreen: (i love beardies :mrgreen: )

Nova gets stress marks if i leave the herp room for more than an hour on weekends lol.

What are those stress marks you're talking about exactly? Is it the kind of darker lines that could appear on the belly? If so, my dragon has some constatly too.. :?

Yes, the marks on their belly is the "stress marks". Like I said earlier, I wouldn't worry about them as all my beardies had strong stress marks. Speedy's don't go away in the am as quickly as Zoom Zoom's do. The other ones I've had also were like Speedy's are. I refuse to worry about them because I'm not convinced that the reason they are there is because of "stress".
