site updates?

is the site itself going to be updated if one thing i find it hard to keep up with previous posts and new messages its a little outdated with all the posting its hard to keep up with helping people somtimes

This site uses up to date phpBB3, there's nothing that you can update.

I'm not sure I understand. What are you wanting to see updated/changed? As noted, we do have some limitations, as we use phpBB for our forums, and so we are limited to the features they support. But it's possible tweaks can be made within the limits of phpBB to address some issues.

What is outdated? What do you mean by being outdated with all the posting?

i meant if your were trying to get back to old threads its harder than most forums because of the "outdated" look. Generally your inbox and replies are somewhere top left in the screen to let you know someone has replied, Other than checking your email which sometimes doesen't update i havnt found another way to keep track of user replies

I find it easiest to keep up with the threads I've been involved in by using the "View Your Posts" link. Each thread shown there will list the username of the last person who posted in the thread, so if the last person wasn't you then you'll know that there's more posts in the thread that you may want to look at. Just the way I do it, but it works for me instead of just trying to remember everywhere I've posted and trying to find the threads from the main page all over again. Good luck!

i tried to remember what i posted on but that wasent working lol

I think the "View your posts" link (up near the top) will help you keep track of the topics you've posted on.

Also, you can simply "Watch/Subscribe" to a topic without posting (scroll all the way to the bottom left of any topic for the link). This is like checking the "Notify me when a reply is posted" checkbox when you post. It will send you an email when someone replies on the topic since you last visited it. If you ignore the email and don't look at the topic, you will not get more emails about it, until you visit the topic again.

Now, once you have your subscriptions to topics, you can review/manage them under the User Control Panel (see link upper left). On the General tab (the default), you'll see "sub tabs" to the left. One of them let's you manage subscriptions.

You can see all topics that you're watching, whether or not you've posted to them.
