Just signed the petition. Good idea. Don't worry Tas we are all part of this with you. Although not sure who has been making threatening text or calls because I honestly don't think anyone who has been actively participating in this rescue would do that. None of us have broken any laws and she simply felt the need to make herself heard. As I told Tas there are several things as a parent that she should be held accountable for. Allowing this to happen in the first place, and allowing her son to except money for this animal in the condition he was in etc... as a parent the burden of what your children do falls on you. Still think we need to put pressure on Animal Services as they have other animals. But from now on lets just talk about Rocky and his recovery... Maybe you should just start a blog on here.

It's possible It isn't even anyone on this site. I know when I see a beard on the local Kijiji in rough shape I call/email the owners just to see what their set up is/if they'd like any help. Im sure others might do that but maybe not be so nice about it. I only ever do it once as well, some people just don't want help.

Glad to hear that he feels a little better, are you taking him to the vet everyday now? Did he go today (tues)?

Please note, I locked the last thread, so it wouldn't get out of hand. This is a very emotional time for all people involved because we are so passionate about our dragons & our emotions are worn on our sleeves which makes it more difficult to stay objective when we get upset. I understand how hard it is not to get extremely upset with cases like this. I have a hard time restraining myself as well. It is very upsetting indeed!

Thanks Laura, but my contribution towards Rocky's rescue was small compared to what Morgan is doing.
I am just happy I was able to help.
I have a bit of a soft spot when it comes to animals. I have actually nursed wood rats back to life that my cats have captured. Yes, I am a sucker when it comes to animals... whether furry or scaly. :wink:

Someone (I forget who I'm sorry) suggested that we put the fund on craigslist. Why don't we post it to the South Whidbey island craigslist where he came from? Do you think that would be a bad idea since the crazy mom lives there? Depending on what you guys say I'll put an ad up with the donation link and the petition.

My english professor helped me write a new letter to the newspapers today so hopefully that, the pictures the petition and the vet statement will be good enough for a story.
