This is my new girl, she is one of Barbara's babies from the first clutch and was born on 7/17. Her proud parents are Ms. Tiggs & PVT Blaze. As we know, all Barb's beardies are spoiled.
She had a long trip from CA yesterday, all the way to NY. She arrived 12:30 today. She is gorgeous, has orange colored eyes and is a real sweetie.

I had a problem with Photobucket, promise to put up more pics later. She had a bath, ate a few greens & a little squash as well as 2 crickets. She has been cuddled quite a bit already. And, as Barbara knows, she loves to run up your hand & arm when you try to put her back in. :D
Her stress marks are gone right now, she laid on my lap and snuggled into my hand.

That's a good point Sara, thanks. Yes, I'm doing ok, guess I'm just hoping for a major improvement soon.

Thanks Deb, it was nice of you to check in. Hope you're doing ok, we are all worried about you.

He did get lots of TLC today. Ate some baby food with CC and Benebac. I also tried using a credit card to get him to open his mouth and it worked instantly, he didn't seem to mind. So, i was able to get some fluid into him, he hadn't been drinking much at all lately. I also found a small piece of a dubia in his mouth when it was opened up, hoping that might have been part of the problem and that he will be doing better tomorrow.

Thanks Barb. He was actually doing a little bit better today. He wouldn't eat anything for me this morning but when I called Josh to check on him, he said he was very alert and looking all around. He actually even ate most of his greens, I was very happy to see that when I got home. There were a couple of butters mixed in his greens and I didn't find any sight of them so he must have eaten them too. :p By the time I get home, he has been awake already almost 12 hrs so he's quite tired by then. I did get him to lick off some squash and chicken baby food and gave him a bath. He gets his next Baytril injection tomorrow night, we'll see how he does after that.

Oh I bet you were so happy to see those greens and butters gone and to hear that he had a nice alert day. :D
I know I'm happy to hear this news. Keep it up Giz!

Yes, i was. I agree "keep it up Giz." He such a little guy and can't afford to lose any wt, I'm happy he ate on his own today. Tomorrow I'll have to add a few more butters to his greens.

From one very stressed and overly worried mom who just went through a none-eating period to another, I know exactly how happy you were to see that Giz ate most of his greens and butters. One day I was so happy to see Digi eat something that I almost cried.

Hope he'll eat just as much, if not more, tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that, and . . . oh, you get the idea

Then............you know exactly how I feel Gina. Thanks for the encouragement, I will share it with Giz in the morning, hopefully he'll listen. It sure can be upsetting when they don't eat.

I sure do hate that I was unable to keep up with all the Giz health problems. I just updated myself on this and I hope he's back to normal soon. That must be soo scary for you, especially after loosing Sabrina.

Thanks Lori, yes, it became a very scary situation. We were so afraid that we were going to lose him!

I ended up coming home early today (another kidney stone ) and Gizmo was very wide eyed and alert, I was happy to see that. While I was waiting for my pain killer to kick in, I offered him some dubias and he ate 3 small and 2 medium ones. For some reason, he doesn't grab them unless I hold his upper body at a down slant and then he sticks his tongue way out and grabs them. Then I hold him upright and he happily chews them up. Didn't eat any of his greens but he licked off some baby food with Benebac and brewer's yeast. After that, we gave him his 3rd Baytril injection. He doesn't mind the needle going in but after the Baytril was in, he shook his front leg a little bit, I think it burns. But, he didn't darken up at all. The look he gives Paul afterward is so sad so he laid him on his chest and rubbed his back for a while. Hopefully he won't decline a little tomorrow like he did the day after the last injection. I do think we're making some headway though.

I'm so happy to hear that Giz ate 5 dubias AND some babyfood. What a good boy!
Hope this injection won't make him sick like last time. I'll keep my fingers/toes/arms/legs/eyes crossed that he'll be fine.

Hope you are feeling better soon too, Diane!
Ouch! Kidney stones are no joke. I have never personally had one(and don't want any either), but I have seen the pain it causes to those that are passing one. Ouch!

Glad to hear that Giz seems to be improving and eating a little more each day.

Hugs & Snuggles!

I understand what you are saying Barb. One pastor was talking about the kidney stone pain he experienced. He graded the pain. The only one I remember is the last one it was "Just kill me". I have real sympathy for those that have experienced it.

Bill has kidney pain from time to time but, in his case, it was because his back was out in just the place to cause it. One time, almost 6 years ago, we took him to a medical doctor who had blood tests run and an ultrasound, neither test found anything yet he was in severe pain, so bad that he cuddled with our first two dragons (Miss O and Miss Y) like he wouldn't be back to see them again, and this was without kidney stones. Kidney pain can be really bad.

Thanks Barb and Lori. Well, I passed the kidney stone but since I had been walking differently because of the pain, my back is crooked and in spasm. Paul even took me to the E.R. this morning so that I could get some muscle relaxers but we waited over 2 hrs and they hadn't even called me to register yet so we ended up leaving since sitting for that long was causing me more pain. If I'm not better by Tuesday, I'll have to go see my M.D. Sorry, seems like I have been complaining a lot lately.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
