This is my new girl, she is one of Barbara's babies from the first clutch and was born on 7/17. Her proud parents are Ms. Tiggs & PVT Blaze. As we know, all Barb's beardies are spoiled.
She had a long trip from CA yesterday, all the way to NY. She arrived 12:30 today. She is gorgeous, has orange colored eyes and is a real sweetie.

I had a problem with Photobucket, promise to put up more pics later. She had a bath, ate a few greens & a little squash as well as 2 crickets. She has been cuddled quite a bit already. And, as Barbara knows, she loves to run up your hand & arm when you try to put her back in. :D
Her stress marks are gone right now, she laid on my lap and snuggled into my hand.

Poor little Giz with another URI :( How sweet of your vet to pay a house call. Does he do this often? :D I hope the Baytril works fast and Giz is feeling himself soon.
So you think Miss Misty "might" be getting ready for another clutch? Close to 600g's... she's a little porker, LOL

I am glad to hear you were able to at least get Sabrina's tank cleaned out. I cannot imagine how hard that was, especially with finding a piece of shed. :(

So Paul hurt his middle finger, huh?! Do I dare ask what he was using it for when the injury occurred?
I hope that it heals quickly and yes, I know all about how men are(unfortunately). I have one that is the biggest baby when he is sick and is as stubborn as a mule when it comes to getting him to go to the doctor. In fact, I made him go to the doctor last week, due to a swollen, tender red area under his arm. Glad he went... he has a staph infection. Men!!!

I can sure agree about men & going to doctors. It took me 3 weeks to get Roger back to the doc & then into hospital. He still asks me when we're going home, unfortunately, he's going to be in hospital for awhile, kicking & screaming all the way! No he's really good with the staff, it's when I show up that the drama starts!

Hope Paul's finger gets better soon.

Hugs
Deb

It was nice getting all the updates, but when I came to the piece of shed from Sabrina statement, I lost it, that must have been hard, I'm glad you have fond memories of her.
Yes Christine, it was hard but I knew it had to be done. I don't like looking at the empty tank. :(

Dawn, you're too much. This is the 1st housecall Bill has made here. He and his wife are family friends and he has actually gone to my sisters houses too to put down their cats or dogs when the time came to make it easier for them. He really is a very sweet guy.

I got Giz to lick off a little baby food with CC in it. Paul managed to squirt a little in his mouth and he tasted and swallowed it. Took a long bath and did get a drink. He even ate a small dubia for me and enjoyed chomping it down. He has a ways to go though but I do think that he had his eyes open a little more today and tonight than he did yesterday, at least I want to believe that.

Yes Dawn, Misty is quite the porker right now. She sure is enjoying the hornworms. I'm hoping Giz will feel better soon so that a few are still small enough for him to eat. They are usually his favorite but he's had no interest since the 1st day they arrived. :(

Yes, Paul hurt his middle finger, it is so swollen that it looks like a sausage. He was actually carrying a boiler into a basement when he injured it. Of course, he hasn't gone for an x-ray but that's not a surprise. It's a good thing your hubby went to the doctor, staph infections are VERY serious as you know.

Deb, you certainly know 1st hand how stubborn men are. Roger sure put off going as long as he could, making it much harder on you. It's a good thing that he behaves with the staff though.

LOL Sara. Guess he's part of the male minimum for things like that.

I guess I really don't have any room to point fingers, LOL. Bliggy is 595 grams.

Hey, while I'm at it, I would like to compare Misty and Bligg's lengths.
Measure-01.gif

Bligg is 21.5" long... how long is Misty now?

Well Barb, he's still not gobbling the food down. :( I did get some pear/raspberry baby food into him with some CC and calcium though, at least that's something I suppose. He looked just a little better today. I'm hoping this weekend he will be doing much better. By the time I come home from work, he's already been up almost 12 hrs so it makes it hard to get him to eat much.

Wow Dawn, Bligg is long! Takes after his daddy I guess. Misty is just over 19" so she is definitely paunchier than Bligg right now. But, she may be getting ready for more eggs, hard to say.

I weighed Misty tonight, 607 grams!!!!! At one time, she was almost 700 grams which was too big for her. She has started to cut herself back on feeders a little so that's good, could mean more eggs soon but she's not hyper YET.

I have a good update on Gizmo. He climbed out of his blanket on his own this morning when I turned his lights on. He was basking (still with his head up pretty high) but both eyes were wide open. After he warmed up for a while, I held a small to medium sized horn in my hand and he grabbed it right away. :D He wouldn't take a second one but shortly after, he was actually gaping and looking very happy. He did eat another same sized horn this afternoon for Josh and even walked around a little. So, I would say he has improved, now I have to work on getting some wt back on him. I think the Baytril injection made a huge difference, he has 4 more to go.

That is wonderful news about Giz. I am happy to hear that the Baytril is working for him. YaY for eating hornworms!!!!! :blob8:

I don't know if I would want Bligg to be 700 grams  . He looks so lean and mean at 600g... I'd like him to stay that way.(and I am not saying that Lilly is fat, Sara, but she is a big girl. Big boned that is  )
Now I have not weighed Rex in a while, but if I had to guess she is probably around 675g and most of that is in her tail, LOL

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
