What a new learning experience for me. I'd only ever had one female pet and she was a bully, far from being a flirt.

Too bad I was too nervous in what Pookie would do to even think about videotaping Digi's flirtation last night. If she does it again tonight, I'll be sure to get it on camera.

Having male and female beardies in the house is much different from having just one male or just females...it's a riot. See what you have been missing out on? :lol:

BTW....Digi was already being a flirtatious little girl before she left here so I for one know what she's capable of and what to expect from the upcoming video, but I still can't wait to see it. :wink:

Boy Gina, you're getting quite entertained. :lol: See what you've been missing out on? I have to agree with Barb, having male & female beardies in the house is much different. I've also noticed that my reflexes have gotten much faster because you never know when you will have to be ready to grab one of them if they get too close to the opposite sex. :roll: Can't wait to see the video of Digi teasing Pookie. :wink:

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get anything last night. By the time I got home from work, it was after 8pm and everybody were getting ready for night night. I did, however, find Pookie under the table that his viv sits on. What was weird about where I found him was that his viv wasn't destroyed, no evidence of poop, and nothing else in the house was disturbed. Maybe he was hiding from the yucky weather we had :dontknow:

I did put Digi in front of Pooks' face this morning and asked him to give her a kiss hello (when they were still in bed). He looked at her, cracked open his mouth ever so slightly, and almost in slow motion stuck his tongue out. But he retreated just before touching her. Hey, it's a start! :mrgreen:

Nope! When there's a will, there's a way -- to have them get along.

Had Pookie on the top of the couch and Digi in my hands tonight. I held Digi in front of Pookie, about 4-5 inches away, and told him to give his little sister a kiss. In a mere few seconds, he started sticking his tongue out but never moved forward. He kept doing this until I said "kiss her foot", which he actually did -- well, he licked my finger instead because Digi's foot was wrapped around my finger. As soon as he licked my finger, he backed up an inch and looked at us sort of confused, almost as if he knew he had licked the wrong person. But, he did it again a few minutes later, and this time he purposely aimed for my finger. Oh and guess what else Pookie did? He DIDN'T black beard or headbob! Well, not until much later anyway.

After some time, Pookie decided to get some alone time and walked away from us, but only about 3 feet away. At this time, Digi decided that it'd be ok to her to get on top of the couch and flew out of my hands. As she sat there, just chilling, Pookie decided that it was a good time to start turning his beard black and begin with the headbobs. Unfotunately, Digi didn't pay him any attention because she was too busy keeping an eye on Zim (Barb, are you sure Digi was exposed to your dogs? She seems to be afraid of Zim). The less she looked his way, the more Pookie bobbed to get her attention. This went on for probably a half hour or so (may be more but I lost track of time). Then, out of nowhere, Digi decided that she wanted to explore what was behind the couch and the floor. She kept running away from me and towards where Pookie was sitting. The closest she got was just under 2 feet! But guess what?! Instead of charging, Pookie stayed right where he was but continued to headbob at her. HE NEVER MOVED!!!

I sure hope that in a few more weeks, they could be out together without giving me a heart attack in worrying.

Gina you must remember that Pugsley is not even as big as my cat Beefy. :lol:
Zim is like a totally different creature to her because of size. She will get us to him. :wink:

Okay now this is just fair warning....anytime you have a male and female out at the same time you are enticing breeding. That is exactly what I do when I breed my pairs is let them out together for a couple of minutes bing, bang, boom it's over. Did you read about Renee(pudden) and having one of the males out and her daughter had out Niyiah?
So do be careful...Telling you it only takes a second.

Don't worry, Barbara, I would never have them out together without supervision, no matter how well they'd get along. I don't want any unplanned pregnancies. Nope, no way no how.
All I'm hoping for at this point is to not have Pookie charge at Digi. He could headbob and black breard all he wants, but he'll only be tiring himself out.

You may not have much success at not getting Pookie to charge until he's not feeling so hormonal...like in the Fall. :lol:
I know you wouldn't leave them unsupervised I just want to make sure you know just how fast it can happen. :wink:
