What a handsome pair if dragons!! Your new guy sure has some lovely colors. The pink/peach color and the little spots on the sides... Though I guess he will be darker after the shed.

maybe lancer .. cause i have one lol

Craziest thing happened today.. i never leave crickets in the cage.. whenever i fed "Oj" i would just have 20 or 30 in a cup and slowly pour a couple at a time.. today i decided to throw around 10 in each cage and "oj" ate them up like nothing but "lancer" attacked 2 .. ive never seen a bearded dragon pounce on a cricket before .. kinda surprised me.. lol... but after he ate 2 he didnt bother with the other 8.. so i was watching the crickets and they started picking at his crusty tail nip .. like fighting over eating his tail!! lol . he didnt even care!. so i quickly scooped the remaining crickets out.. .no more leaving crickets in the cages for me.. has anyone else had a similar experience?

Poor guy. It doesn't look bad but pay close attention for the next couple sheds. You'll want to make sure it doesn't turn dark black, and that the skin comes off when he sheds. Injuries can be prone to retained shed. But it may just fall off.

Are you feeding your crickets well?

How do I reply without including the quote? Hi I'm brand new here and to having beardies but at the pet store I was told that crickets left in the cage will bite. I saw it myself when I left one by accident and saw one on my beardies back while he was sleeping. I try to make sure I get them out too but it really isn't easy because I don't have one of those fancy cricket containers, still looking around for the right one, so I'm just buying every couple of days and using tupperware with airholes to keep them in. Shaking the right amount into the tank is always a toss up. I'm still a little squeamish dealing with them. I much prefer the worms which don't hop around everywhere but my beardie Apollo likes his crickets.
Apollo ALWAYS has pounced on crickets! Even at the pet store when the guy fed him in front of me if he's hungry he literally attacks. He eats all his crickets the same way, doesn't matter if he's on his 1st or his 5th.

i think its the "post reply " button .. not the reply to post .. i think ? lol

well the thing was "lancer" was awake when he was attacked! lol .. ive heard about being nibbled on while they sleep but never nibbled on while they were awake!

for my crickets i purchased a tote from walmart for 8 dollars and it works pretty good

and taterbug there is no blood, looks like it could be a little raw .. just a tiny bit .. i think im just being paranoid now

Jmoo, precaution is not unwarranted. If you want to apply a little bit of antibiotic ointment like neosporin on it you can. Otherwise just keep an eye on it.

Usually crickets are to afraid to nibble on awake dragons. If you aren't you can feed you crickets some of the veggies you use for your dragon to fill them up and make them more nutritious.

Lycia, you can use a toilet paper tube to collect crickets for feeding. They will crawl up into it and you can tap them into your dusting container. If you use a cup for dusting you can tip the crickets out one at a time so too many can't run away.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
