Draper is our new addition to the family. He's about 12 weeks old, and just hit 10" long. At first he wasn't eating much (got him 2 weeks ago). But now he's doing great! Phoenix worms are his favorite!

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=169590 <--- a thread I started about Draper a couple of days after we got him....we were worried and just wanted the best care for him. Thanks for all the help! We're still trying to get him to eat more fruit and veg...

Here are some new pics of Draper.

Every night at around 8:30, Draper gets very sleepy. He loves his blanket.

He likes to show off his colors when he's out of the cage.

Basking in the morning, he seems to get really dark.

Your care of Mr Draper is excellent, sometimes it takes some time to get over the effects of the meds, they can be harsh. So keep me posted, I'm concerned for your little guy, even though he doesn't think there's anything wrong & there may not be. Glad you're still in touch with his breeder, he may help, too.

He's improving....poops are more formed, but still loose. Day 8 of reptaid. He's still very active, and has a healthy appetite!

We're having the same weather up here in Vancouver, I think I'm starting to melt. It's 86F in my living room right now. But still, the dragons love it! They all got sun today, all five of them, (one by one, of course) and loved it. It's cooler on the balcony floor so they can get into shade when they've had enough sun.

I'm glad Mr Draper is doing better, glad to hear the Reptaid is working. And loved the pic of him basking with your kitty, it's nice to see them getting along together.

Draper's still about the same. There was some improvement....but still very loose poops, maybe even getting a little worse again.
He's still doing great though. Active, basking, eating a ton, moves all around the viv.

He weighed in at 242g today....so still gaining lots of weight.

258g yesterday. He's still about the same.

We ordered a microscope (Celestron 44104) and a test kit! Hopefully we'll save money in the long run that way.

At least he's gaining. Once you get the microscope, did you get directions on types of parasites, counts & what meds to use. You have to be careful with the meds, it's really easy to overmedicate dragons. So good luck!

260g today. :) His full shed is completely done, and he looks great!

He's doing well, just had some dubia and phoenix worms.

My wife sterilized everything in his viv today by soaking all the rocks and other cage furniture in ammonia, then we baked it all in the oven at 350 for 30 minutes. She also did a total ammonia cleaning of the interior of the viv. All that will sit outside his viv for the next couple weeks. Right now he only has a beer box, and paper towels. Hopefully he's not too stressed out by the change.

He's only pooped in his viv 3 times....ever.

In the next couple of days we'll do our first in house fecal test.

265g today....

His poop was formed and did not stink....like it has in the past couple weeks....but.

We ran 2 slides today. Draper definitely has coccidia. :( In a 100x view, he had 29 cocidiia and 1 pinworm egg.

Very cool that we know exactly what to look for and it's easy to tell them apart from other things floating around in there.

Now on to part 2 of treatment.

Here's some images of the fecal testing. We bought the small kit from Beautiful Dragons.

I wish we could take pics of what we saw on the slides....currently researching the best way to do that!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
