mites from BD biting 4 year old?

How would I tell if Papi has mites? And could those mites be biting my son?? He's got bites just like chiggers, which are mites...

Place Papi in a warm bath the mites can not swim they will drowned.
This way you can see them by looking for them floating in the sink.

I'm not sure as if this particular mite does or does not bite human's. Very possible.
Betadine (povidone-iodine) can be used on your child to treat the bites if they are from the mites.

nope i read that reptile mites cannot live in a mammals skin

they cannot live but they sure can bite! Iv had all my snakes get mites after i bought a new snake that had them. They bite the heck outa you! And the itch! They will get into your sheets also. So make sure to wash them on an antibactirial setting if you have one.
