Yes, all MVBs provide heat and UVB from the same source. They can often be the only heat source, but not always. The MegaRay minimum distance is 12" (for sure), and max is 20" (I think!)

I had the same question. So do lets say the mvb 100 produce the same heat the a basking 100. I did a temp check on my friends setup which is the same as mine an his seems to be not as hot? Any idea why. Temp gun is working fine and the setup ups are good.

They will not necessary put out the same amount of heat.

Other factors come in to play such as if the tank is near a window or a vent, the ambient temp of the house, etc.

I spoke to Bob at ReptileUV today and he said the 100w MVB's are back orederd until probably end of Jan.

:shock: I would just go with the T-Rex then - they are basically the same price and you might be able to get a really really good deal if you are getting it at an expo

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
