don't mist, it does nothing but create a mess.. go w/ the soaks and if you want to do more than a couple and don't want to overhydrate (i.e. end up w/ a big puddle of water w/ poop in the center) than shorten the times up a bit so he can get some relief.. sometimes you can use a SOFT bristled toothbrush VERY gently to help out, but don't ever pick @ the shed and it'll def. help soaking!! :p :p

Awsome thanks for the info. Looks like I will be doing dunk and go's to try to help him and get a soft tooth brush just for him! With every thing I read on here Im afraid of him having a bad shed since I dont know his history...

IMO the older they are the grumpier they may be while shedding.. my female is 1 year tomorrow and is going through her 1st shed in months and doesn't seem to affect her too much, but def. more than when she was a baby and it was constant.. :p  :p

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
