Little beds

Do my baby beardies need a bed to sleep in at night or can they just sleep where ever they knock out in the tank? Is it more comfortable for them to sleep on soft fabric or what? If not, does it raise health concerns?

They can sleep where every there little head lands. I wrap Chimera in his blankie and turn off his lights and hes snoozing! :sleepy2:

Belle goes in her hide and covers up almost every night

My little beardie always falls asleep on one of my shirts I place in the viv. So cute

I guess it doesn't really matter, but it's not like you have to buy some special blankie... one of your shirts will do fine. Plus, then they'll get used to your smell. :wink:

They don't mind sleeping on the ground. My Budo pancakes himself on his basking rock to soak up the remaining heat at night. Once the basking rock is no longer keeping him warm, I tuck him in. He has claimed several of my shirts and sweaters and one of my bathrobes, along with other miscellanious clothes and blankets around the house.

Here's a pic of him after watching a late-night movie with me. He looked so chilly all by himself, and my bed is too high up to have him sleep with me, so I made him a cozy bed of his own.

Your little guy will be fine with or without a bed/blanket. You have to know that all of the beardies on this site are spoiled rotten :love5: , so alot of them do have blankies or beds. It's really just a matter of personal preference(yours

that is.. :lol: ).

peaches loves to sleep on our couch so i made her a bed out of the arm rest cover. her bed spot of her cage has a undertank heater with temp control so its just lukewarm(i constantly check the temp on it).she likes to be wrapped up with her blankie placed on the warm spot in her hollow log and part of her blankie by her head folded into a pillow.
she cannot sleep if i dont do this for her every night she will remain up way past her bed time and be all restless untill i tuck her in

That's soooo cute. I cut some of my pillow sheets since they're tiny and they LOVE it. =)

I like to wrap mine in my most thickest flannel pijamas like a borrito - he doesnt move an inch till day break. Its really cute to see.
