Oh, okay. I'll have to wait on the one with the hood, they're a little expensive right now and the website doesnt have the 18 inch bulb. I'll call around to my local petstores to see if they have one that'll fit the fixture we got.

So you need the hood correct? You want one in a hood - its going to increase the UV rays and that is what you want --

Yeah. The fixture we have is a standard florescent bulb fixture.

What do you recommend for a lid.? It's a 48 by 24 by 16 (equivalent to 90 gallons) and we need a different lid. I can't seem to find one that fits.

I would make your own if you can and put a hinge on it so you can open it -- the best tanks are ones w/ front doors --

It has front swing doors, we just can't figure out how to make a lid capable for our dome lights.

I see- have you thought of a solid top cutting holes for the domes but you need to watch temps as a solid top would hold the heat in- check out the DIY board on this forum
