Just showed up overnight
The other is heat bulb 100w120vIt looks like shed but not absolutely sure--- the coil UVB please replace it as soon as you can - the 13 watt bulbs are one of the worst --- please get a long tube fixture 24" for a 40 + gallon tank - Zoo Med ReptiSun T5 HO Hood
this fixture will come w/ a 5.0 bulb keep it for a back up the distance and placement will be different for a 40 gallon tank - you need this bulb 22" Zoo Med ReptiSun 10.0 UVB T5 HO
or you can get this fixture 24" Arcadia ProT5 12% UVB Bulb With Hood
this place is very good and ships out fast - took me 2 days to get my UVB bulbs -
When you get this please post back on here and I will help you get it placed for your tank - depending on your screen on your tank will determine placement and distance -- please replace the bulbs in approx one year - in the meantime I am going to have some one look at the issue in question - I could not tell what the other pic was next to the UVB coil
@AHBD
Gotcha how close is the bulb to her basking spot? Its possibly a burn if she can get to it -- you dont want it any closer than 6" -- but I want AHBD to take a look at itThe other is heat bulb 100w120v

Ok -- what are the basking temps at 5"? And question about the substrate-- is it sand?Prob about 5 inches
And when he's up there he's even closer cause he stretches to get as close to bulbs as possible so I would say when he's perched up he's prob about 3 inches from bulb to his noseProb about 5 inches
Idk temps, guess I need to get special thermometer and he has calcium sandOk -- what are the basking temps at 5"? And question about the substrate-- is it sand?
Ok what are bulb are you using wattage? And how are you taking temps? You want a digital probe thermometer to get actual basking temps they are going to be the most accurateAnd when he's up there he's even closer cause he stretches to get as close to bulbs as possible so I would say when he's perched up he's prob about 3 inches from bulb to his nose
Please get rid of the calcium sand --- he will eat it and that is not good -- please take it out as soon as you can --- use paper towels for now -- then you can get some textured NON adhesive shelf liner from Walmart or your home improvement store cut to the size of the tank insects cannot get underneath and clean w/ vinegar/ water 50-50Idk temps, guess I need to get special thermometer and he has calcium sand
