I've noticed everyone talking about crickets, I've been feeding him Locasts. Are these ok he seems to like them.

Locusts are good (give away you're in the UK like me)
You can feed crickets but unlike the locusts they can be noisy & smelly.

If he likes locusts, go for it. They're a good staple feeder and popular in the UK. They aren't allowed in the US so you'll hear us talking more about crickets and dubia roaches.
