Rankins look a lot different. Lighter color, not as spiky, a very distinct pattern on the back and a short, baby like face.
Its hard to judge his size from those pics, how long is he? He looks good, personally I don't worry too much about size unless they are severely stunted.
How much and what are you feeding?

He's about 10-11 inches.. I feed him collard greens and butternut squash daily, i also feed him as many crix as he can eat in 10 mins once in the morning and once in the evening . I have a reptiglo compact but we are moving rooms and i have a reptiglo flouresent ready to be mounted in the cage

He is a bit small but he can still catch up. The coil bulbs aren't good, that could have something to do with his slow growth. A repti SUN 10.0 would be better but a repti glo is ok too, its what I've used for quite awhile.

Will he eat insects more then twice a day? Maybe try feeding more often and see if that helps.

I just got my dragon a few days ago, I had been dragonless for over a year. He is 14 inches and 5-6 months old.
The reptisun can be pretty expensive in pet stores, most people order them from petmountain.com. Get a thermometer soon as you can, if its too cool in his cage, he won't eat as much as he should. You can get cheap ones from walmart for around $12

An accurate thermometer really is important. The gaping is a good sign that it is probably hot enough. However, you don't want your little one to get too hot.

my boy is the exact same age He was born in January. He is 18 + inches I have no idea how I think he grows a little on the fast. He is a big boy.
As for your baby He looks really young and a little on the small side but not to bad I would say average for 6 months is 14 inches.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
