I FOUND ARCADIAS!

I have just received new information. Turns out that they last twice as long as usual UVB bulbs. http://uvguide.co.uk

Oh, another thing I didn't know! They won't fit in the same fixture as the reptisuns?

Well, Some will. There are also T-5 arcadias. These need a special fixture. I'm not sure which one (5 or t-8) is better. The T8's will fit into the regular fixtures upon further research.

They sell the arcadias at about the same price as the reptisun 10 tube. Two places on line that i know of sell it for $25 or less however, a place I was just told about recently was Dr's foster and smith sells the reptisun 10 tube for the same price as this place sells the arcadia.

The 18 inc and the 24 inc. SO If you need those size. I am going to get one when I get some more money.

Thanks! I thought I had to get a new light fixture.. but I have the 24" one for my reptisuns.

Laura, you can use calcium with D3 with these lights. However, iv noticed issues with using calcium with D3 for my adults with these bulbs. So, they get calcium w/d3 once per week and without D3 twice per week. I would say, start off with calcium with D3 and if you see any problems with urates, cut it back a little

If you an ever get your hands on the t5, do- they are fabulous bulbs!
Also, just to point out- the t8 bulb needs changed every 6 months (I have spoken to Francis of uvguide.co.uk about this). The t5 bulb will last around 8-12 months

Will the T5 fit in the same fixture as the Reptisuns? I am doing all my research because Ollie is due for a new bulb next month, and I really want to try these!
