Oh NO!
I just checked out your link, and it says it comes with a 21-watt, 34" long tube.
I thought, huh? T8 only come in 36" tubes and they are 25 watts.
So I dug about in Home Depot website and looked for replacement tubes for that unit....
Here they are

They are ordinary, non-high-output, T5 tubes....
I'm afraid this fixture is no good for your UVB.
I'll see if I can find one that WILL work for a 3ft long Reptisun 10, but can you get a "return" on it?
If not, then you've just bought a really nice "Normal Output" T5 ballast. It won't take an Arcadia HO T5 D3+ UVB tube but it WILL take "normal output" T5 daylight tubes, some of these will add very good visible light to your big tank, especially down your cool end, so don't despair..

It looks good from the specs.... T8, 25watt, with electronic ballast and no plastic cover lens.
The only thing I've noticed is that all these ceiling units say "direct wiring required", which means they don't come with an electric cable and wall plug, so you need to have a bit of confidence in basic electrical wiring, and buy your own cable and plug, so you can connect it to the wall socket (and timer).

You are a life saver. I was so excited that I thought I had found the right one. The saleperson specifically told me that it took 36" T8 bulbs. It didn't cleary say on the package, so I went with what he said. I just opened it and you are totally correct. Good thing, I can return it.

The one you found is perfect, except for I'm going to try and see if I can get one with a plug. I'm not an electrician and I don't want to try and hard wire it myself.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I'll let you know what I find on my second attempt.

Hello, I am new to this forum and new to owning a Bearded dragon (well actually picking him up this coming weekend). Learning lots from this site!
I just ordered myself a 24" t8 Arcadia bulb and picked up the fixture at walmart and already have it mounted in the tank. I was wondering if there is anyway to attach a reflector (or make one) to aim more of the light downwards? I ordered some reflector tape along with the bulb, but that was before I realized there was no where to put it on this particular fixture.....

It has a cord, an on/off switch, and I'd need to remove the diffuser.

That fixture looks to me like a very nice one with an electronic ballast. It says that it is 36" long in total, and takes a normal 25-watt, T8 tube. As you say, you'll just need to remove the diffuser.

It should be okay, but do check that it will take a 36" tube, because some 25-watt tubes are only 30" long and it's just possible that this unit is for 30" tubes, with 3" of fixture each end, making a total length of 36"... I can't understand why they don't tell you the tube length, in the specs!
(You did say you've bought a 36" tube that's 25 watts, didn't you?)

I can't believe these fixture manufacturers are so vague! It makes getting the right one such an unbelievable ordeal for what should be such a simple thing !!

Yes, my 36" Reptisun 10.0 just came in yesterday.

Want to hear something funny.....when my lights all kicked on this morning, my 2+ year old Megaray SB160 bulb went "pop" and went out!

I replaced it with the 150W halogen light I bought to put in place of the MVB for the basking heat/light.

As soon as I get the new light fixture I'll be all set.
