Thanks Dawn :)

I have been really surprised with him. He sat on my hand the whole 1.5 hour ride home. I was doing some research on them and it seems that they generally do not tolerate being handled but this guy loves it.

The pictures of him do not do him justice! Those red bars that he has on his belly are also on his sides and he has little blue iridescent dots within the red bars, within the bars on his belly he has lime green dots and his whole belly is iridescent. I really have to try to get better picts of him.

He's just a tiny little guy at about 5 inches.

You must definitely get more pics!

Do you have any idea on his age? What kind of husbandry do they have? What does he eat?

The guy i got him from was kind of a jerk - it seemed like he felt he was wasting his time talking to me but it could have just been that it was so packed that he wanted to stay more focused on his table

But anyhow he told that their husbandry is very dry, i asked it it was like a bearded dragons and he said yes. From what little info there is about them online, they like to burrow in their substrate and the bottom layer should be kept slightly damp.

They should have a basking spot of 90F with a temp gradient of 70-80F.

Their diet consists of crickets and mealies and i'm sure any small worms, they say some will eat a little vegetation or fruit.

Im not really sure on age - i'm guessing he is a juvie. They get to be about 8" and he is about 5 right now.

Well he sure is an interesting looking little guy!

My son wants to get a new lizard(not another beardie), which makes me sad because I want a new baby beardie. We have our big Repticon reptile show coming in June. I'll have to see if they have any of the Haitian Curly Tails there.

In the mean time keep us posted here as to how your little one's doing. I would love to see more pics when you get them.

Have you come up with a name yet?

I will deff let you know - there is another member on here that has one but i haven't seen her for a while (fizzlebaby - i think) I'm going to see if i can track her down and pick her brain. I'm going to try to get some good picts of him tonight.

I'm stumped on a name at the moment - if he was she i could come up with a million but i don't want to give him an identity crisis.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
