Humidity Level?

What is a good level for my viv? I have to get a new Basking light for my 40 gal viv, what do you guys think I should get? Thanks!

40-45% is a good cut off point for humidity. At 55% fungus, mold and mildew can grow naturally. Anything below 15% begins to get too dry also, so 20-40% seems ideal to me. :wink:

great! I got a nice new heater in my home but it is taking al of te mosture out of the room, I've been spraying them though. Thanks both of ya for the info!

Hey your welcome, and I recommend to not go as high as 50% humidity though, it is gonna be a safer and better bet to stay away from nasty things like fungus with at least 10% cushion. 5% to me is just cutting it too close. :wink:

hahahha yes he is pretty right but if you stay in the ranges from 20 to 40 is perfect. just to let you no mine is always at 30 to 40 haha .

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
