How much do you talk to your maste-i mean beardie?

Absolutely, why have a dragon if you're not going to talk to them? All of mine know their names & enjoy all their cuddling. I have fun with all of them. I've had 2 out at a time but they always lunge & try to bite each other, so I've stopped that, instead I cuddle them one by one, so they won't kill each other!

Our conversations usually involve telling them how pretty they are and that they are some good babys. My whole family, wife and 3 kids, spend more time talking to the beardies than each other I think lol. They really are amazing creatures. Too bad I waited until I was almost 40 before we got our first one.....

I DEF do the "who's SO pretty?" and "Who's my favourite?" and "Who's the princess?" I always ask if she's behaved while I was gone. Usually there's a comment on what a good poop she did. She knows she is the favored kid

Also, "Do you want to eat today? No? Oh that's ok, maybe tomorrow" If she doesn't want to eat, she will close her eyes and turn her head away from me. She is a good snubber.

I agree with the "Too bad I waited until I was almost 40 before we got our first one...." part. I wish I would have known how cool they were a long time ago. I'm 38 now but will have a Beardie the rest of my life I think.

i talk to my boys all the time. i get the stink eye, head tilt, and for my sub adult i get hissed at and tail flicking ( we are working on handling. what seems to help Bones calm down is if i take him outside!) i cant wait for the warm weather to stay and i can actually take them places. i live above a gas station and i took bones down there the other day and he did so good. only hissed at me a couple times!) Blaze just likes to watch the sky!

p.s. i love reading thread like this. i love everyones stories. makes my day better!
